Update: Batteries are fine - my device was defective. Good customer service!
Update:The batteries were OK - my device was defective. I swapped the batteries with another smoke detector and they worked fine, and I confirmed voltage with a multi-meter. Good customer service - Bonai reached out right away, offered a refund AND to test their batteries in a similar device.Old: Ordered eight of these; four each for two smoke detectors - one device reported "low battery" within two weeks of installation. I removed the batteries and confirmed installation polarity was correct. Returned.

Replaced CR123 Batteries with these CR123A Batteries!
I ordered the 8-pack of Bonai CR123A non-rechargeable lithium batteries. I wasn’t sure if these would work in my SimpliSafe motion detectors and glass break sensors since they came with CR123 batteries (not CR123A), but they fit perfectly and worked out just fine. I conducted some online research on the difference between the two batteries (CR123 vs. CR123A) but received somewhat conflicting information. Some articles state that there is no difference, some say there is a slight size difference, some say the “A” stands for “alkaline” (which it does NOT), while others say the “A” has an improved design over the CR123 predecessor. You can conduct your own research, but I can tell you that these CR123A batteries DO work in my SimpliSafe glass break sensors, which previously had a CR123 battery installed.I cannot speak to the longevity of these batteries yet, but these appear to have been manufactured in July 2024 (same month I received them), so I’m hoping they’ll last several years. If they do, I will purchase them again and use them in our smoke detectors, which need to have their batteries replaced every five years. NOTE: The original Energizer CR123 battery I had lasted roughly five years, so I will have to wait and see how these batteries compare.

Perfect for my Ring alarm system
I installed my alarm system seven years ago and now the batteries on most of the sensors are starting to warn me they are getting low. These batteries fit the bill perfectly and are of great value. I get eight batteries for the same price as two of the other brands.

Good, not great
A few of these came less than fully charged but still worked. I’d put these on the lower side of average but they are ok: they seem to work though they don’t last as long as name brand in Arlo cameras. They are much less expensive though

Great choice; fresh batteries at good value.
The eight CR123A non-rechargable batteries I received came plastic wrapped in two groups of four. The date stamp on all were "2024-07 PH", so were extremely fresh (1-1/2 months old!), considering batteries of this type have an expected shelf life of 10 years. They are manufactured in China.I tested voltage on one at random, and it read 3.282v. Based on price, freshness and external appearance these look to be a great pick. The 1500mAh load, is decent for it is similar to other batteries of this type.My past experience with CR123A purchase in general, is to try to avoid old stock, or counterfeits. I actually prefer a quality non-brand name ones (like these), the price is typically better, and if they have recent reviews indicating the stock is fresh, I typically find they work best. The true test is to check the voltage on the entire batch, and use them until they go flat. I will update this review once I have them in use, should I find any DOA, or experience short life on them. At this point I don't have any reason to believe that will be the case.
