This wireless thermometer is amazing! Simple to use but the feedback received through the app is amazing and takes the guesswork out of cooking. The day it arrived, I used it on a pork tenderloin in a pellet smoker. The type of meat and cooking temperature were set using the app and it estimated the time of completion. The wireless probe has several temperature sensors, including "ambient temperature", which is crucial in a smoker (in case it runs too hot or not hot enough). The app lets you know when to remove the meat from the heat and how long to let it rest. The pork tenderloin was cooked to perfection even though it was the first time using the ThermoMaven Wireless Bluetooth Smart Meat Thermometer. The unit can be purchased with two or four wireless probes, so several things can be cooked and monitored at the same time. This is a very impressive unit and, even with only one use, I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Update to the first review postedJanuary 2025After reading my review the company reached out to me to say that they had a newer model which uses a different technology making it more reliable to keep connectivity between the probes and the base. They replaced my old P2 with the G2 model. Since we had just used the old model(P2)) temperature probe in 40-degree temps with our smoker (yes, we use our smoker no matter the season) and found the old model pretty much useless with cold weather, I was willing to give this one a go.We tested the new model in 40-degree temps and stationed the base inside the house. We did not lose connectivity once. To say that we were pretty happy not to have to run out to the smoker and get our temps off the meat numerous times was pretty nice! I have changed my star rating to a 5 because this now offers everything we were originally looking for in a wireless thermometer. I also found the accuracy of the probes themselves to be very accurate like the old model.December 2024This is a pretty slick looking unit with 2 wireless probes which are stored in the unit. The display is easy to read, the alarms are loud and the whole thing is pretty easy to use. The probes are also spot on when it comes to temperature. We use it for our Traeger smoker which is located near our back door and under cover. We were placing the base unit next to the back door inside and the first few times we used it we had no problems with connections to the probes in the smoker no matter where we were and monitoring with our phones and using the app. Lately, we are starting to have connection problems from the probes to the base unit even though no placements have changed. We charged the unit although it did not show it needed it but that did not help. The weather has gotten colder, but not frigid, and we do not know if the colder weather is causing the problem. The connection goes in and out during the entire cook. We have tried different placements of the base unit, even next to the smoker, and cleaned the probes well but the issue persists and some days, it's better, and sometimes worse. We are not sure why at this point. Good thing we did not get rid of our old standby probe. Connection issues are a problem all around for these wireless probes and we were hoping this would have been better. I guess we will see once it warms up whether the connection gets better to prove the temperature theory. Also, we learned that if you change the ending temperature, everything needs to be "rebooted" to get it to adjust for the new end temperature.

Some may ask how can an item that broke the first time used can be given five stars. I'll tell you. Any manufactured item can have an occasional bad one. You can tell the item isn't junk and was packaged nicely. When I cleaned the temperature probe it snapped at the place where it was attached to the grip. I sent a message to customer service. It was late in the day and I figured I'd hear back the next day, but to my surprise the response was quick. The communication seemed to show that the person was truly disappointed in what happened and didn't want me to be unhappy. They arranged for a replacement part and said they were sending me a gift to make up for the issue. From the previous reviews I can tell that this isn't the norm for their items to break and they owned the responsibility and stood behind their product. The thermometer performed perfectly and the app that was used with it was great. I consider this Five Star even though I had a little bad luck. I have no issues recommending their product to others. CheersUpdate!! I was sent a replacement for the part that was broken. I haven't had any issues since then and the Dual Temperature probes work perfectly. I was happy with doing a turkey for thanksgiving and being able to temp the breast and thigh since they cook at way different speeds and have different doneness temps. Once you enter what you want in the unit it keeps track of everything for you and even has a graph that makes it easy to see what's going on. The other feature that is really great is that ThermoMaven's temperature probes have multiple sensors in them. Most probes if you don't hit the thickest spot with the one sensor then your temp will be off. With their probes you can look for the lowest temperature sensing spot and know that it's at the sweet spot. It's kind of genius having sensors up the legnth of the probe. I didn't even realize it when I bought it, but after using it I'm so glad I got this unit. Finally I've had the opportunity to interact with customer service and they are fabulous. They treat customers with kindness, appreciation and urgency. I've never had to wait even a full day for a response. Don't hesitate, buy their products. You'll be glad you did.

I was a little skeptical after using the MEATER PLUS for two years. This thing blows my mind!It is cheaper than the MEATER and it’s better looking (I know that’s relative but it does looks sleeker). Also it is more technologically advanced with rechargeable battery, USB C, better Bluetooth 5.3, unlimited range with built in WiFi, TWO probes and AND ALONE base with SCREEN!!!Probes are as accurate as MEATER on top of that it is extremely reliable gone are the connections issues that I have with the MEATER.The app is on par with MEATER’s app too!The only thing I will miss is the Apple Watch compatibility other than that this is the best all around wireless thermometer in the market.
