Definitely a good buy.
Product was a little challenging to figure out...no detailed instructions However does work well. Little disappointed in the weed eater string but blades work well. And replacements blades can be purchased on line. This brand is compatable with DeWalt as is others they make.

I feel like I'm comparing a Triple-A player to Major League standards....
Okay, not going to beat around the shrubbery--we have much more studly trimmers from Craftsman and B&D, but they are also twice as heavy. After typical age-related orthopedic developments, I like the lighter weight of this Mellif Trimmer. But it uses smaller diameter string, and is frankly just a little too short for me to use while standing comfortably. I hate to blame the .410 for not being a 12-gauge and so want to say that if you have a small patch to maintain, and/or if you would benefit from a lighter-weight machine (AND you have already committed yourself to the DeWalt form factor in batteries!), then this may be your favorite new trimmer. But if you approach 5'8" or taller, this may give you a different challenge. One star off for not being friendly to shorter-side-of-average American men, assuming that we were part of the target audience.

Okay for the money
Does what it’s supposed to do just wished it had some sort of braking mechanism for when the saw blade is on. It does shake violently with the saw blade so I’m not sure if that’s normal or not

Lightweight - Feels Cheaply Made
This isn't going to be the best trimmer you've ever owned. There are a lot more expensive and higher quality trimmers available out there. The positives for this trimmer are: It's very lightweight. My wife has a hard time lugging around our more heavy-duty trimmer, so we liked the idea of trying something lighter for her. It's cordless so you're not having to worry about an extension chord getting in the way.The negatives: Everything is cheaper feeling. As an example, the edger attachment is shorter and thinner causing it to look flimsy in comparison to heavier duty ones I've used. You won't get as deep of a trench using this as you might like. The string trimmer is a single-string (most trimmers are dual) and comes with a few pre-wound heads. I had a hard time getting additional string to come out after using it.I couldn't easily find any instructions on anything. The manual comes only with the high level basics of putting it together. I had to find further instructions on their YouTube page for things like changing the heads. The attachments aren't easily clicked into place. You'll need to sit down with a screwdriver each time you need to change the heads.Make sure you read which trimmer you're buying. I knowingly went for the option with no battery because I already owned a Dewalt 20v battery, but if you didn't already have one, you'd be out of luck.At the end of the day, I highly recommend saving up for a stronger better-made tool if you have a decent amount of property, but if you have a smaller property with little maintenance needed, this could get you by.

Versatile and Efficient... with a Few Drawbacks
This cordless string trimmer is an excellent choice for those looking for a versatile, lightweight, and efficient tool for their yard work. This trimmer integrates seamlessly with both OEM DeWalt 20V MAX batteries and compatible knock-off versions, offering flexibility in power sources. One of the standout features is its three-in-one functionality. It effectively serves as a string trimmer, edger, and brush cutter, making it a versatile addition to your gardening arsenal. The automatic line feed system ensures consistent trimming performance without the hassle of manual adjustments. Weighing in at just 3.6 pounds, it’s incredibly easy to handle, even for extended periods. The adjustable and extendable telescopic shaft allows for better reach and comfort, accommodating users of different heights. Additionally, the safety lock feature with a dual switch design adds an extra layer of security, which is always appreciated. The package includes multiple cutting attachments and five string spools, enhancing its versatility. However, there are a few minor drawbacks to consider. The battery and charger are not included, which might be inconvenient for some users, although the trimmer's compatibility with various batteries somewhat mitigates this issue. The cutting width of 7.4 inches is relatively narrow, so you may need to make more passes to cover larger areas. Additionally, the trimmer's size might be a bit short for taller users, even with the adjustable shaft. The included string spools are also on the smaller side, requiring more frequent changes.Overall, this trimmer is a fantastic tool that delivers on its promises. Its blend of functionality, lightweight design, and ease of use make it a solid choice for maintaining your garden or lawn. If you’re looking for a dependable and versatile trimmer, this one is definitely worth considering.

Very impressive, very versatile
So far, so good. It will take me another week or so to try out all the attachments in “real life” conditions (my jobsite is a little far away), but I’ve been able to inspect all of this very impressive package in a cursory way and I find it very promising. It certainly fits all of my needs in terms of its versatility and it is lightweight, so carrying around is easy. My only “criticism”, if we can call it that, might be that the instruction booklet is a little too laconic, but if you are mechanically inclined, you will be able to figure out how to work with all the great attachments. So far, so good, I’m very happy.
