This is not as thick or dense and much sparser in comparison to many artificial grass mats I have/had. If you are up close, you can see the backing from the top, but not noticeable if your standing or sitting on chair over it It arrives rolled up, so you'll need to shake it out and sweep or rake it the opposite of how the blades are layed down to get the full effect. And since this is cut from a much larger piece you'll have a little shedding initially. This has multiple shades of green, thin blades of grass similar to tiff, and then a light tan curly Q's underneath to appear as thatch. The backing is very rough and not skid resistant. It's not something you'd want to lay on a slick smooth surface otherwise when you step on, it will slide. It's perfect to lay on top of dirt, gravel, concrete, weeds or wood decking. It's fairly heavy in its rolled form but once you lay it out the wind could still easily lift a corner and flop it over. It wouldn't necessarily take flight unless you have strong winds and nothing setting on top of it. From experience, if you're going to be using this out in the open yard and not on a patio with furniture weighting it down, you'll want to have at least the corners anchored down with nails, landscaping staples or something. It can be cut to fit, using the same type of blades you would cut wall to wall carpeting, heavy duty scissors, or if you're skilled a razor knife. I'm pleased with it for my purposes, in front of a shed door, and believe you will be also. As long as you're not looking for cushy lush artificial grass.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!

This is one of those artificial turf rugs that is absolutely on par. It isn’t particularly difficult thick, but it is dense. It has a good plush kinda feel. It seems well made also with the grass staying in, and not falling out indiscriminately like some of these mats tend to. It lays right out and is ready to use instantly. A good artificial grass mat here.

This is a pretty good roll of fake grass. I will say it's not as soft as I had hoped for. It's more flat than fluffy like some other brands. I got this to lay across the floor of my tent while camping. This would be great for a variety of uses. It's easy to roll up and unroll. The quality isn't bad. I'd give it a 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5.

PROS: Thin and light enough to move around and dry fairly quickly after it rains, looks like short cut down from a distance, even faux grass covering over a draining non-slip base, actually measures a bit more than 4 feet by 6 feet. Can be easily cleaned with a garden hose. CONS: Fairly strong manufacturing odor upon unwrapping and unrolling, holds the tight roll curl on one end for a few hours (Hint: unroll in the hot sun or on a hot surface and place something heavy on the curled end for a few hours). Lays flat within a day. Good value for a faux lawn mat, perfect for wiping feet in entry ways, walkways, or for pet lounging. Enjoy!

A nice feeling grass. A large size pad. Great for the sidewalk or patio. A good value for the money.

I got this mat to place in front of my tent while camping. I needed something at the threshold to put muddy shoes and slippers on before entering the tent. I mean it's nothing fancy, it's plastic grass. But it ties in nicely with my camp set up and the surrounding nature. It looks pretty. I love that it's light weight, it's fairly easy to hose off, let it dry and roll back up until next time.

bottom not super thick, but once you get it down it looks nice, much better than the fake stuff they have sold for years

We’ve set up a seating area up against the fence on one side of our beautiful backyard. This piece of really nice looking fake grass will make a splendid and luxurious ground cover. It has already received our dog’s seal of approval. He seems to enjoy lying there when we’re siting, enjoying a glass of wine and the view of our landscape.
