Sheaffer9405 Fountain Pen

have used a Sheaffer before too - this is also very good. Smooth and balanced.

Delivery and packaging are good. Item does not satisfy the basic expectation of smooth ness of writing. Cost Rs. 1030/-.1. Not supplied with any converter of ink cartridge. It was not mentioned in the description but later I found it in the question answer list.Converters of other models of Shaefer fountain pen do not fit with this model. I tried the converter of my older model of Shaefer.2. Nib tip is not satisfactory and does not provide smooth writing.3. The threads at the neck and body joint made of plastic and cheap.4. Grip is narrow and not comfortable.5. Country of origin is India, Maharashtra.In comparison the President model of Pirre Cardin at the cost of Rs. 470/- provides a smooth experience in writing. Country of origin is Maharashtra.

Good pen. Easy to hold and write. Is medium nib and the stroke is natural especially if you have a slant (like i do). The cap slots in well and it has been supplied with 3 ink holding canisters which is a good thought. Hopefully should last long. No spare nib supplied though. Worth adding a spare nib for the price which was charged.

Comparing it with Parker Frontier matte black. Parker was smoother and comes with refill aparatus. Sheaffer lost its finish after few months of regular use while no noticeable scratches were their on Parker.

It is a genuine product manufactured in Hong Kong, China. If you do not wish to patronize any Chinese product, then don't buy. The fountain pen is very elegant looking and smooth in writing. If you are used to writing with Gel Pen, then it is a different pleasure to write with a fountain pen and especially if it is manufactured by Sheaffer.
