The photos represent the item ordered. I placed it on the floor of my garage, as recommended. I figured it will be most effective the first night when the mice will be at least wary due to the sound and the flashing lights and the newness of the device in their environment. To test effectiveness, I placed a cat food kibble on 3 sides of the device, two of which were right in front of the speakers. The next morning, kibble was gone. Not even crumbs were left. Item will be returned.Did not bother my cat at all!
