I ordered this set because it is a kit that includes most basic game processing knives as well as a sharpener in a self contained kit. The handles on these knives feel really great in the hand. I wear an xl glove and found them to fit my hands perfectly. I have only used these knives on beef though. I have not tried using the smaller blades for caping an animal yet though so my opinion of how they fit my change hand once I use these during hunting season. I also have not skinned anything with this set. My rating so far is just barely based on cutting meat. I have been careful not to hit any bones and the knives have been easy to touch up with the included sharpener. These work well on cutting muscle tissue in a controlled environment. After I use these in the field I will update my review. After skinning and caping my opinion my change completely of this set.

This kit comes with everything you're going to need to process your own big game at home. These knives come very sharp out of the box and are ready to use. The handles are very comfortable and non-slip so you don't have to worry about loosing your grip on the knife. I am very pleased with the overall quality of this kit.

This knife set has everything needed for field dressing game, from deer to elk. They’re sharp, durable, and the handles fit comfortably in my hand, which is crucial after hours in the field. This set keeps things organized and ready for the next hunt.

I started using Outdoor Edge knives back in the 90"s. From basic pocketknives to hunting skinners and fish fillet knives. They have always worked flawlessly for me and never given me any problems, sans one. I was working on my car one day and snagged the clip of my pocketknife on something, snap-crackle-drop, the clip hit the floor. I contacted O.E., sent my old knife in and a short while later, a new knife showed up in my mailbox. This was not expected (because it was MY fault) but high appreciated. So now on to this new Hunting/Skinning/Dressing knife set. Wow, what a great combination of blades. Aside from a "gut" hook, this set has everything you will need to dress game animals. There are two thin, flexible trimming blades for the detail cuts, a beveled back skinning blade which helps to remove the hide especially along the backbone, a shorter drop point blade for getting in the joints, and then the big whack, for cutting up the larger pieces of meat into more manageable sizes for storage. There is a blade sharpener that comes with the set to keep your knives well-tuned. The whole set comes in a perfectly sized "hard plastic" clamshell carry box to keep your blades safe during transport. This kit may not be well suited for those long hikes out to the middle of nowhere, but if you have a base camp or are able to bring your prize home to dress it this kit will service your needs for many years. I am still using my original "Game Skinner" that I purchased almost 30 years age. This kit would also be a great kitchen knife set if you are a Barbeque Master.

Loved using in the field with large game. Stays sharp and easy cleanup. Highly recommend.

Would not hold sharpness when processing. Not worth your money if I was cutting back straps into steaks and the butcher knife would go dull on me real fast and have to constantly re sharpen. Fillet knife too thick and doesn’t have the flex that it should so you can carve around the bones when de boning also would keep its sharpness. Caping knife and drop point were the same. Save your money buy a product made in USA where the knife will be of quality.

I have an uncle that goes hunting once a year. He has prepared game sausage for me before and I knew he'd like these. The handles are quite comfortable to help with the ease of cutting, the durability of the material seems so good, especially with the coating to protect the metal of the blades from the elements. Overall, I'm perfectly happy giving this as a gift to him.
