Bulky
These are great crimpers that do a fine job and dont mess up the insulation. Like the ratcheting function that helps ease the amount of force needed to crush the metal. These are very big and bulky so keep that in mind.

Has some drawbacks
tool does not put tight crimp on lite gauge wire (18-22) On 10 -12 gage, much hand strength required!

SO much better than my old set of crimping pliers
I admit it. I've struggled with crimping wire connectors for years. I have several sets of crimping pliers, all of which are supposed to do a good job. But, despite my best efforts, I often find that there is still wire movement inside of the insulated sleeve after crimping and I end up resorting to electrical tape. Not good.But this set of crimpers is on another level entirely. Yes, I know that this style of tool is not unique, but I can say that it is unique to me, in that I've not used a set like this before. What a difference! The deep grooves and teeth in the jaws work great at holding the appropriate size connectors in place while crimping and the connection is sealed with only moderate pressure.I'm sure that you can spend more money for a set similar to this, but I can't think of a reason why anyone would choose to do so. I'm very happy with these and would recommend them to anyone who doesn't already have a set of this type.

These are well built. They work exactly as intended and feel like they will last the tests of time. Worth it!
