New Balance Women's 589v1 Industrial Shoe

I've been using these at my job since I've had them. Thus far they have outlasted some other brands of safety toe athletic shoes I've tried. I was surprised that New Balance was in the Industrial Safety Shoe business. Apparently, most all the major shoe brands have gotten into it. But these were recommended by my podiatrist to help with my foot pains I've began to develop. Almost instantly, they've be relieved much of the pains.

I wear a size 7 regular and sometimes a 7W shoe. When I ordered these, based on similar composite work shoes I went with the wide selection. They are much too large for me, so I returned them and went down a whole size to a 6W. These are still a bit loose, but using a shoe insole ( needed anyway) they make the fit much better. The toe box is really roomy, and you don't notice the composite toe and I find that to shoe will bend at it's natural spot near the toe when necessary. Some safety shoes are very stiff in this area, so I was very pleased. Overall, these work shoes are my favorite. I can be on my feet 12 hrs, and feel as though I am wearing my favorite sneakers. You will need to purchase a shoe insole, because they are not as cushioned as a running shoe would be. But that is a minor detail, for someone who is on their feet 10-12hrs per shift these make me very happy I bought them, and they seem very well built.

The most awful steel toe workShoe ever made . Very heat shoe, and not comfortable at all. I walk a lot at work, and these are way too heavy to heat around in. I give one star because I really liked the color, but the performance of the shoes were terrible

I bought the extra wide and this version of new balance, isnt wide enough like the other ones I bought. My foot is 4.25 inches wide and the pinky toe n big toe rub the sides of the shoe. I also feel like im walking on the hard floor. The insoles arent very cushiony. Could b that im overweight too i guess. My toes hurt after only an 8 hour shift in a plant. I recommend of your feet arent very wide and if u r prepared to buy better insoles.

I hate wearing bulky ugly work shoes. These shoes are high quality, comfortable and pass my works safety regulations

Very stiff and safety toe very uncomfortable. I order 1/2 bigger than I usually wear. The safety toe is very hard , sharp and rubs blisters on my outer first and last toe. These shoes have very little to no arch support. However, the shoes are cute and stylish but comfort wise they are terrible.
