Sheaffer VFM 9400 Strobe Silver Rollerball Pen with Chrome Plated Trim | Premium Signature Pen

It is a wonderful product from Sheaffer. The feeling of writing by the Pen is just Awesome in one word. It's smoothness is just incomparable with others pen till I have ever experienced. It's price is a little high as it is a foreign product.1. It comes with ink cartridges. So one should change the cartridges.2. Sheaffer ink piston converter 96700 is not supported in this pen. So don't expect that the bottled ink can be filled.3. But Cartilages can be refilled with Sheaffer bottled ink by using Injection niddle and seringe.

Please note that one gets a smaller cartridge for ink as compared to Parkar pens (steel ones) and is many times costly. so not exactly value for money, but the quality is better

I've attached a photo. The left one is the old gel pen and the right one is this fountain pen.It's not capturing properly on the photo but the writing is very thin. It uses very little ink for a dull looking colour.This is because this pen's nib is actually an FP one. "Fine point" = Very thin writing.Other kinds of nibs that we have in market are:M Nib = Medium nib = Neutral nib = Neutral thickness.B Nib = Broad Nib = much thicker writing (this will appear more bold and stronger color)This pen has a wrong description which states that this is a medium nib. That is why I bought this pen. However, this isn't a medium nib. As soon as you receive the pen check the box. It will say "FP" which means fine point = thin nib. Looks wise nib loolks EXACTLY as shown in photos. But while writing FP nibs will write thinner writing.It does have a premium feel if you wanted an FP nib. But I like writing with thick pens because I write fast. Thin output of ink means that you cannot write fast or else the ink will appear faded. But when a pen writes thick the writing is much darker & bolder.Earlier I used a schnider pen that was worth Rs.1000 where as soon as you wrote you knew it was a very premium pen. That one was thick extremely smooth right from the start. And that pen had a smoothness that you felt was extremely strong nib that can go through a lot at the same time. This pen isn't like that. It's okay okay. I would rate it 8/10 in terms of smoothness. I'm sure the nib will become much smoother later on.NOTE: It is definitely NOT medium thickness like given in the description. It's very thin and writing won't appear strong or bold kinds. It appears like very feeble, thin, jittery writing. If you like thin writing then you'll love this pen.

I like the pen.

The pen cap fits well when you close the pen, but it's loose and falls off easily when you put it on the other end. I didn't expect this from a pen that costs so much.

Good shape, writing is smooth and good grip to hold. looks elegant

I ordered a fine nib version of the pen; but got a medium nib version. Writes decent. I won't call it a great writer. They call it a VFM pen; but there are other Indian Fountain Pens like Click, Kanwrite, ASA, Vazir and many others that write way better than this one

Best ballpoint pen ever used. Sheaffer has stood to its name and quality. Highly recommended.

I have had the same pen for almost 8 years. It finally quit clicking open and shut so I bought another one. It writes just as well as the last one and it will probably last as long as my old one. Well worth the $ and you can buy refills. Great pen. I love it

Ik had deze pen besteld om een kalligrafiepen met een fijne (platte) punt te hebben. Dwz ideaal voor cursief of vloeiend schrijven. Deze pen bleek een gewone vulpen met ronde punt te zijn. Verder zoekend op het internet lijkt het eigenlijk dat dit ook geen pen van het type Viewpoint is. Ik heb de pen teruggestuurd.

Nach langer Lieferzeit ist diese Woche der Kuli gekommen. Liegt gut in der Hand. War mit schwarzer Mine ausgestattet, ich brauche aber blau und habe die NEO Mine eingesetzt. DSchreibt sehr flüssig und ohne merklichen Widerstand.
