Arctic Ease Cold Therapy Wrap, Black, 0.45 Pound

Perfect for my muscle/tendon strain on my forearm, it has really helped me whilst lifting. Easy and good how it can be re used. I reccomend it to anyone who feels they have a muscle strain so they can still be active and use this item.

It is an elastic band covered with gel substance. Feels strange, cools somewhat but it is far from RICE protocol icing, thus might be useful as a cooling agent after running, perhaps. But I see little options to use it. And YUK! By touch it is like you wrap yourself in a thick black slack.

Complete misrepresentation of what the product is.

Bought these for my husband's bad knees. One seemed to be shorter than the other as if it had been cut, but it was more than enough to wrap his knee. It felt wet at first, but after a while the coolness set in. Certainly did reduce the swelling and pain in his knees. They don't stick well, so he just sat in a chair while they did their work. He was quite pleased with the outcome. And I gotta say, so was I, as he will NOT put ice on his knees yet complains often of the pain. After wearing them for about an hour, he took them off and went to bed. He felt much better the next morning.

Great product that offers both cold and compression. I use it on my ankle when it swells up after long walks or if I've strained it and always provides relief.

Didn't work just like they had shown on TV

I would say cool not cold feeling for a short time. Product is only reusable 4 to 8 times and instructions are poor, did not fit my needs and can not be returned.

Don't know how the word "arctic can be used for this product! At best, the wrap is 'cool', and it doesn't hold the coolness very long. Total waste of money and time!!!

Did not perform as promised. Difficult to wrap to body. Does not remain cold beyond a few minutes. Dries out rapidly and hard to rehydrate. Used once and threw it out.

According to the packaging, this product is only to be used 4-8+ times. It seems to be a tight knit gauze encased in a gel. We had in refrigerator for 1 hour prior to use, used product for 1 hour, and removed. It was still cool to touch at time of removal. I am a bit let down that the product lasts for a limited amount of time, as I did not see it in the product description.

First if you laid a piece of this material which is slimy and sure enough 59 degrees. Had a back procedure so back very sore wit two piece we could not keep the together how you would athletic tapeThen we wrapped my left shoulder ... went on great the it was like a wallpaper commercial as 1 slides off and then the next as good as the core product maybe the functionality has a long way to the shoulder fell off the next morning it was all off and hard a rock. We wet it again I could not even envision using it twice it just looked like slimy cloth.Truly had great hope for this product went back to the traditional method.I am sorry to Arctic Ease if you improve the product please put it on the bottle we would try it again.

1. Don't expect it to get as cold as an ice pack out of a freezer. It does get cold, but not that cold. I would describe it more as refrigerator cold than freezer cold.A big unexpected benefit I found with it was how it hardens after it drys. It's almost like a cast that molds to you. If you knock on it with your knuckles, it will sound like a cast. Removing it, (see photo) it will feel like tortilla chip with some areas soft and flexible.I run a lot daily. >5 miles a day. I've dislocated both my knees several times each when I was in my teens and early twenties. I'm now over forty. Some days one of my knees feels loose. I used to put a knee brace (w/metal hinges) on, but it was cumbersome and I couldn't wear it for too long.Each time my knee feels loose, I put this on now and leave it on for >5hrs. I will still run with it, although it's tougher. After removing, it will heal and strengthen my knee to where it's bulletproof for weeks again. Nothing I've used for over 20 years has had such a fast and solid impact to heal my knee. I rave about it to friends often.I imagine it helps me personally more because of how it molds and hardens more than its cold temperature. If you need something really cold, this isn't for you.After about the 3rd or 4th use, it doesn't stick to itself anymore and unwrap itself.I continued to use it still by using that sports wrap/tape that only sticks to itself.I only stopped using it (~7th use?) after my knee was still loose and didn't fully heal. I noticed that removing it, it was no where as solid as it was when new.Paying ~$15 after every ~5-7 uses is very worth it for me personally. Nothing I've used has really healed my knee in such a short period of time and so thoroughly.

I found these by reading a tweet from another RA patient and I had no idea that they existed. I fell in love with them from the first time I put one on! With my arthritis, my joints swell and get very hot all the time. The 0.45 pound wrap is great to cover from my hand, to my wrist and up my forearm. I have two now and I’ll be collecting more very soon. I always wear pressure bandages and they work very well, but I still have to place ice back on them. This product covers both. Thank you for a making a great product!

I tried many other products but this one works very well for my tennis elbow I was able to wrap it at night or during the day and it kept it nice and cool for a long time. I highly recommend this product.
