4 by 5 stars
The product was delivered in a very good condition. Overall the story can get 3 out of 5 stars, as I found certain discripenses in certain plot areas. Other than that the story is good and kept me wanting to read more and more.

The Sith Fall. The Order Rises.
The Bane trilogy is probably the best novelization of the Sith Order.Set in the Old Republic Era (during the New Sith Wars) the novel documents the rise of Darth Bane to the top of the Sith Order and his formulation of Rule of Two. Perhaps the best part of the novel is that it traces the life of a regular, hard-working miner named Dessel who has had a terrible childhood and earns a hard living and runs into a series of unfortunate circumstances. Accused of crimes he didn't commit, Dessel joins the Sith army in their fight against the Republic, and the story continues from there.Darth Bane makes Vader look like a diaper-baby.The novel is well written and excellently paced. The best part is that this is not a typical teen read; this is written for grown-up audience. A must-read for Star Wars TOR fans.

The force is strong with this book
About Book : This was my first book from Star Wars Universe and I have read many now since then. As a fanboy who prefers stories related to Force/Jedi/Sith rather than other non-force wielding elements, this book was a treat. The book is very well-written and will grip you from Page one. It will give you a detailed and deeper understanding in the philosophy of Sith. There are many epic battles which will leave you awestruck, especially the Duel on Tython. There is so many concurrent story lines in the trilogy that will leave you begging for more, once the author switches from one to another. If you are a fan of Star Wars and want to branch out into books, I would recommend to start with this trilogy(or Thrawn Trilogy, but haven't read it yet. I have been told its epic)About Edition : I bought this edition from US and feel the paper quality is decent. Although I hold my books like a new born baby, I feel the binding is good enough to last a long time and you will not get a tear down the middle when you repeatedly open the book while reading.Any more burning questions you want answered? Asketh!

Best SW novel I've read!
SW novels can be a real hit and miss affair - some are good, others are not. After having not read any for years,( the last one " Order 66" was a total bore) saw this, read the sample available through Amazon and was captured by it. Evenly paced, well thought out and totally absorbing - it's also not about one dimensional heroes or heroics within the SW universe, but the polar opposite - so it's a lot more appealing and intriguing (to me a least).! Have never read anything by this author before - I've been blown away! am now going to read everything else by this guy - well, the rest of the trilogy (Rule of Two and Legacy of Evil). Captivating stuff - cannot recommend highly enough!

Thoroughly enjoyable.
I'm happy to recommend to any star wars fan who, like me, see the use of the force and those who use it as what distinguishes star wars from other sf.What you get here is a real insight into the sith and jedi of old, how they were organised, how they fought and how they waged war. You also get some very interesting examples of how the force is used to influence other on a large scale, either to demoralise troops or persuade followers - all written consistently and from the points of view of both the sith and Jedi. That the story is written primarily from the pov of the sith makes it a very enjoyable and engaging read. The main protagonist (antagonist?) Bane, is a superbly written character as are all the other main players. Their motivations are consistent throughout, each have believable arcs and Bane's evolution from angry young miner to Darth is something which feels like a natural, if somewhat obsessive, progression. All in all, I couldnt put this down till it was done, so 5 out of 5 for me.

An unpredictable, surprising, and rewarding read!
Darth Bane: Path of Destruction is a book that predates Star Wars Episode I by a thousand years. In the times of the Old Republic the Jedi fought the Sith almost to extinction. But in the shadows the Sith lived on...Des is a miner on Apatros whose vigorous work and appalling living conditions lead him to despise the Republic. A clash with soldiers of the Republic makes him a wanted man. He must decide to leave Apatros to join the massive Sith army. It soon becomes clear that Des is destined for great things. His ability to foresee the actions of opponents makes him formidable in combat, and his connection with the Force continues to develop. The struggles and challenges Des had to face made Path of Destruction an unpredictable, surprising, and rewarding read. Many times throughout it wasn’t clear if Des would overcome his challenges, and if he didn’t I was invigorated by his stout determination and stubborn motivation. The road to survival is indeed a twisted one, as was shown. The way it was written was truly exceptional and fulfilling, so congratulations to the author and editors.
