I am a woman, and I was looking for a long, strong chain. I miscalculated on my first purchase and bought the 4mm. This was, in fact, very large and perhaps too utilitarian-looking. It was about the size of a ball chain (the kind used on light fixtures) I re-ordered the 2mm. This is still a sturdy utility chain, but much more versatile. My big heavy pendant looks good on this. I would recommend the 2mm for any daily wear pendant for either a man or a woman. Nice quality and service. thank you.
