I didn't know if my dogs would like this or not, but they in fact love this dog food. They were excited any time I would feed them with this. I was surprised by the quality of the dog food. It basically looks like and smells like normal human food. which excited my dogs! I can definitely recommend.

This came from the vendor shrink wrap sealed in a cardboard carrier. The cans had a best by date “April 2025” easy to see.This is fairly liquid & doesn’t have the most pleasant smell — somewhat acrid. However our doggy does like it. Since it is a bit on the pricey side, we just use a can for about a week mixing into our dog’s morning dry powder supplement. Then we rotate thru several other products to mix the supplement so she doesn’t get bored. About every three weeks she gets this for about a week, in several tablespoons per morning portions.This seems to keep good covered over with plastic in the refrigerator in between morning sessions.It’s okay, but we likely will not order it again, it just isn’t that special.

Dogs were not impressed have five cans left. They do not like.

Besides this is only a single can of dog food, it contains 95% water and would have to feed 5 cans to feed a 20Lbs dog.

Good looking ingredient list. I didn't notice on the listing, but when I got the cans I saw that they are for adult dogs, and mine is still a baby puppy. They've got a while yet before they expire, though, so we'll use them when the puppy is older.

This canned food is great quality and my dogs gobbled it up when I used it as a topper. I was impressed with the ingredients and it smelled more like "people" food than dog food. My only issue with the food is the price. I just don't feel it's worth over $4 a can, grain free or not. That's my opinion and I'm sure some may disagree, but I regularly buy a cheaper brand of grain free food for my one small dog so I know grain free can be cheaper. This really is a great food though. I would probably switch or at least alternate brands if it were cheaper.

I ordered the glazed chicken but what I received was “Homestyle Bone-In Stew, Chicken Drumette Stew”. I indicate this to say that I am not reviewing any of the listed foods. As for the food that I received, well, my dogs loved it. I have 3 miniature poodles and I give canned food in addition to dry food. Of the 3 miniature poodles that I have, one will eat anything that is put in front of her, no questions asked, one will eat most anything but from time to time she finds things that she will walk away from and one of them is SUPER picky and will walk away from anything that isn’t exactly to his liking. All three of my poodles dug in and licked the bowl and from my picky eater, that is high praise indeed. When I put the food in their bowls, I noticed right away that there were real meat chunks. Generally, the foods that I get are a pate and this is a stew. I wasn’t thrilled with the amount of liquid which for me means that I’m paying for more water than food. That said, the liquid was thick and not just water and it did look and smell very appetizing. I don’t intend to eat dog food, but if I did this might be a great one to try just based on the look and smell. Nope, still not going to be eating dog food myself. No worries. Anyway, Halo is a brand that I have come to trust in my dog’s diet and this food did not disappoint. Great ingredients and my dogs love it. That makes me happy!

My dogs are not picky eaters, honestly, so it’s hard to say whether it’s this food in particular or the thrill of getting something new that pleases them so much.Either way, in the 3.2 seconds it takes them to inhale this, they seemed to be pretty dang happy about it, and I’m pleased with the quality of the ingredients, so it’s a win win for me.
