Saves on Paper When Needing a Sketch Pad
My son and I used this device extensively over the past week and I can tell you there are more pro's than con's for sure. First, we play Dungeons and Dragons which means writing and tracking die rolls, hit points, treasure and having a scratch pad like this prevents paper waste and is even cleaner than using a white dry erase board where you have to deal with the marker shavings and smells. It supports even fingernail scratches and the dual sided pen provided works well, though I will say that the screen can scratch fairly easily, the flat side of the tool has a sharp corner that I scratched the screen with when I pressed to hard accidentally. I would recommend using the round side and being very cautions with very fine points with this screen. The entire screen erases almost instantly with the press of the button, but there is like a 2 second lag when you can start drawing again, I noticed if you try to draw too fast right away it won't record your mark (still erasing probably). The note is that I wish the drawing was brighter, maybe an LED backlight or somehow ability to make the drawn lines stand out more, they are visible but less visible in dim light and this is a common complaint I have had with all other scratch tablets is I wish there was more contrast to the lines. The front of the box make it look like the lines are so much brighter than they are but they are a fairly dim blue/green color.Overall though, my 11 year old loved this and we used it for hours over many days playing Dungeons and Dragons and it is now a permanent tool in our gaming sessions.

Simple device, perfect for doodles
We have been using this doodle pad for the last few weeks extensively. I'd say mostly it has been our kids that have been spending time with it. We have started keeping in the car and they play with it while on longer drives and keep themselves entertained by coming up with random things to draw or games to play.Definitely some of the perks of this device compared to full tablets (besides the obvious huge difference in price) is that we are never having to find a charging cable, it doesn't have the ability to even connect to the internet so we don't have to worry about our kids finding random apps or ways of getting inappropriate content, and it is very simple and easy to use.The holes that are included in the writing pen and the device are nice for attaching them together permanently, I'd suggest a nice touch for the manufacturer would be to include some sort of string for that reason of hooking them together. But that is just a suggestion. The pen works well on the screen and stays well lit while drawing for a long time. The button then quickly and completely erases everything. The screen is a good size. I'm happy with it being big enough to draw interesting things, but still small enough to be easy to travel with and fit in the kids travel bag.

I've used other Boogie Board type writing tablets, but ...
I've used other Boogie Board type writing tablets, but I'm very impressed with this one. It has several features that make it a stand out. First, it looks classy. The writing comes across about twice as bright as my other one. It has an erase lock feature that prevents the drawings from accidentally getting erased. The pen has several different shaped writing ends. Finally, it has a changeable battery. My kids couldn't quit playing with it!

Great for keeping score of games
I bought this as reusable way to keep score when my son and I play games like Uno, and also to leave notes for each other. The screen is lightweight and thin which makes it perfect for keeping inside a board game box or hanging on the fridge. The writing surface is not illuminated but still shows what you write or draw, sort of like a freestyle Etch a Sketch, and is responsive to most any hard writing implement (even a fingernail). The screen feels a bit soft, unlike a hard glass phone screen, so I wonder how scratch resistant it will be over time. The fatter tip on the included 'pencil' seems to work better. The writing appears greenish-gray. Pressing the button clears the screen almost instantly.Overall, a neat little item that will help reduce the amount of paper we use.

Road trip item!
The tablet reminds me of an old school etchasketch, but upgraded to not be limited by x and y axis knobs to draw. It may look a bit dim in certain light and very clear in others. Could be brighter though but I guess that's the trade off for having such a long battery life. But for being a paperless doodle pad this pretty much hits all the marks. Nice feature is that the thickness of line can change with different pressure applied. Response of the tablet to the pen is seamless and doesn't skip or miss at all. A trick is you can even use other items to draw like a comb for even line grids. This thing is going into the car for all our road trips as an easy option to pass the time and make doodles. There are some additional features with an app,but it requires an account to be made and haven't got to that part yet.

Great for lists
Every time I use this, it reminds me of the dry erase board I had on my dorm room door back in college. It's perfect for leaving notes.Hang out on the refrigerator and you can keep your grocery list where everyone can add to it. Small enough to throw it in your bag and take it with you to the grocery store and check off the items on your list.Writes easily, the stylus is handy - and you won't lose it!

Scribble away!
I purchased this tablet for my son to practice his sketches as he is extremely into drawing. He loves it and uses it to sketch out ideas before he hits the paper. We like how lite and thin it is but it also concerns me how flimsy it feels. My fear is that he will break it but I guess if you treat it with proper care, all should be good. This writing tablet is perfect for those that want to go through ideas on the fly without worrying about wasting paper on the extremely prices of a full fledged tablet.I'd recommend this product. It got the job done, was inexpensive and is fun to use.
