Great fun
My small pups destroyed this toy in one sitting. They loved it!

multiple uses
My dog went right to the bright orange and ripped the outer peels apart. She then grabbed one of the inserts and ran off before I could even insert some treats. She loved the crinkly sound and didn't care that there were no treats. I was able to place some treats into the other sections. This is where the toy lost a 'star.' There wasn't enough room to fill or hide the treats. They are mostly on the surface, making it very easy for the dog to find. I was hoping for more of a struggle or snuffle effect. Otherwise, my dog enjoys running around with the crinkle sections and playing with the parts.

So cute, your dog may love it if it's not scared by it
We tested out this Nocciola Hide and Seek Plush Dog Toys, 5 Pack Interactive Dog Toy for Small Dogs, Puppy Squeaky Dog Toy with Crinkle Papers, Puzzle Toy for Boredom, Enrichment Toys for Medium Pet with my dog and my parents' dogs and we have fun feedback to report. As the human reporter, I will share my own feedback first, haha. I think this is so cute, conceptually and in execution. The crinkling in all the parts of this toy are like the crinkling you hear in human baby toys, which are nice for humans to fidget with, too. It's easy and quick to stuff little bits of treats and kibble in the hiding places. And it's quick to re-attach the pieces with velcro as well. The first dog we presented this to was intimidated. He didn't like the crinkly sound at all. This is the most anxious of all the dogs, and he wouldn't touch the toy.The second dog nosed and pawed it, and remained curious but did not try to go much further, until the third dog had prised the toy open and the insides came out of the outer wrapper. At that point, the second dog grabbed the insides and ran off to his bed, and the third dog stayed with the wrapper, biting it until we had to take it away (he tends to destroy soft toys quickly). The second dog, who had the inside "orange," did not and still does not seem to understand that the four pieces come apart. He pushed the orange around like a large ball and left it alone. All dogs are different and I would never have imagined how differently these three dogs would respond to the same toy. Which makes me think you won't know for your dog either, unless you have a similarly crinkly soft toy. But I like it and am glad we got it. I think at least one of the dogs will take to it over time.

Keeps her busy
This tangerine toy is fun for my puppy and keeps her really busy as she works to get treats from every nook and cranny. It’s a great way to engage her and provide mental stimulation.

Really clever design that kept my dog engaged!
I've become a huge fan of this brand and their designs. Every item is sturdy, super cute, and interesting for our dog. We live in a very dog friendly community but still, I'd rather have something cute like this lying around my house! Friends and family are endlessly amused, lol. But the thing is, they aren't just funny. They also have interesting ways to hide the dog treats that keep my very busy little fluff ball busy and he enjoys doing again and again. He also has several plastic dog puzzles but those have limited replay value. This one is the first one my dog immediately went nuts for, though. I think it might be because I was able to thread longer treats through the holes and/or because it's shaped like a ball so seemed like a toy right away?I cut up his jerky treats into long strips and threaded them through the holes in the orange slices. I had to leave the Velcro holding the peel closed a little loose...it is really strong Velcro! But the toy kept him busy for a good 20+ minutes with only the treats you see in the photo because he systematically took it all apart, unhooked every bit of Velcro, made sure he didn't miss anything. Then he sat down and started whimpering for me to fill it again. I filled it a second time and it was another 20+ minutes of work before he started whimpering for a third. He's basically become a little kid saying "Again! Again! Do it again!" Now he's just lying on it, crinkling the crinkle paper, lol.So, I like this brand already and watch for their latest toys to come out. But this specific toy is a real winner in my house!

My pup loves the crinkle
New puppy needs loads of toys, and we are a fan of Nocciola, so I was thrilled to receive this for review. The good:It crinkles so well!!! I think the crinkle is my boy's favorite, so I love having toys with a lot of that, and he does too! There are many places to snuffle. It's such a great activity for dogs anyway, and he does love to locate treats (kibble) in the toys. Each of the outer sections of the peel have snuffle options as do each of the sections inside. The not so great:Essentially there are two toys here. There's the "peel," then there are four identical "fruit" sections. Calling it a 5-pack is essentially true, but there is no variety there. Whether the dog cares, I don't know, but the person does. The snuffle options are not very deep, challenging, or interesting. We have a lot of snuffle toys that have deep pockets, challenging ruffles, and interesting puzzles that keep him entertained and busy. I can stuff everything in this toy, and within minutes, he's found all of the pieces of kibble.Overall though, I do love Nocciola toys for my boy, this is a good toy, and I would still recommend it.

Fun for all pups
My dogs love this and will tear around the house with it after taking it apart. They have a lot of fun and it keeps them busy. It is rugged and I am not worried about it tearing or becoming a choking hazard. It is very cute and a good deal for the money.
