Great booster when combined with travel vest for a 36lb. child
****There is a reviewer who is claiming that this seat cannot be used with a child under 40lbs, but that reviewer is WRONG****We used this in conjunction with the ride safer vest for a 44 inch, 36 lb. child (so, tall for her age and very slim) while on vacation recently. The combination fit her perfectly, the booster is lightweight and stays in place, and she enjoyed being able to look out the window. I've knocked a star off because it is overpriced for what it is, but since it is the only booster that can be used for a child under 40lbs (only when combined with the vest), we had to pay it. Overall, I'd recommend this for use with the vest for sure, but you could probably save some money and buy another seat if all you need is a booster.

My 4-year-old daughter and I love it!
My 4-year-old daughter fell in love with this the moment we got it. She weighs 42 lbs and is 42 inches tall. We bought both the booster seat and the Safe Rider Travel Vest. She has used the vest for about a week now (incl. a few 1.5-hour rides and a few cab rides) and can largely buckle herself up and unbuckle herself without help by now... It makes her feel like a big kid. It feels pretty safe -- much safer than using just a booster seat. She fell asleep on one of the car rides and the seat belt stayed nicely in place. She likes using the vest with the matching booster seat as it makes it easier to look outside. Taking the booster seat and the vest on the plane (in our hand luggage: only 4 lbs in total) was far easier than checking a heavy car seat. We are planning to take this all over the world.

Overpriced for what it is
We bought this item to go with the travel vest by Safe Traffic System for our 32-pound son. The lower weight limit for the travel vest is 30 pounds — but the lower weight limit for the (very expensive) “delighter” booster seat that you can use along with the travel vest is 40 pounds. That’s pretty unfortunate, considering that the child whose parents might want to use a booster to achieve a better fit is probably on the smaller side. I suspect that it’s no longer possible to get an approval for a booster seat at a weight lower than 40 pounds. Of note, there are a few boosters out there that go down to 30 pounds (which likely were approved years ago and now have “grandfathered” approval). We initially got the delighter, concluded it was nothing special and very expensive for a booster seat, and promptly returned it. We got a different booster that goes down to 30 pounds, for less than 25% of the price.

Light, relatively portable, works well with the Safety harness. Perfect for rental cars on the other end of a flight.
