Anova Medical AM-545 Talking Automatic Digital Arm Cuff Blood Pressure Monitor, White, Na

I bought this for my senior friend who is legally blind. The talking aspect of it is perfect. Maybe not worth mentioning, but -- the cuff is a little tricky for a blind person to deal with, also probably for someone with arthritic hands. You have to "thread" the end of the cuff through a metal "bar" after it's placed loosely around the arm. Then you pull the cuff around the bar and attach it back to the cuff (via Velcro strips sewn or glued into the cuff). It's something like putting a belt through a belt buckle, but the opening it goes through is pretty narrow. The cuff can be removed from the arm without it coming out of the bar, but it's also easy for it to slip out. If someone is as patient and determined to live with their disability as my friend is, it's totally do-able. Also, I noted that when I set the date and time, the date that was programmed in, I assume when it was manufactured, was 2008. Like another reviewer, the 4 batteries that came with it were completely dead, but at least they hadn't corroded. It has a hole for a 6-volt charger, but it was not included. I am going to try to find one because the new heavy duty Duracells that I put in it were dead the next time I saw her, after two weeks. My friend must have not turned the unit off. Seems like it would have an automatic shut-off or that it wouldn't draw that much from the batteries, but this is not the case.

Seems old we got it to track wifes pregnanc. works really well and easy to track bp.one note is that the device seems older the zipper on the bag broke day one and the batteries came pre corroded. did not buy for batteries or bag though just FYI

My mother has macular degeneration and needed this for her health. It works out very well for her and I would recommend it for anyone with sight difficulties.

It works perfectly but why it does not have the charger included. Other do have! I recommend it despite of the lack of charger

Upon opening the packages and removing the product the zipper had already broken off the bag. Remove the device from the package and the batteries are corroded and have leaked over the inside of the device and bag. After cleaning this out and adding new batteries, the velcro on blood pressure cuff when it starts to inflate does not hold and pops off the arm. I had to in addition to replacing the bag and batteries, had to purchase a new cuff. Even though the product was easy to use and did what it was suppose to it was poorly made.

Very good product. Will have give it 5 stars but it came with a corroded battery

Bought for my mom, who is partially blind, and she LOVES it. It tells her all the information as well as displaying it in large digital numbers on the front! Makes it easy for her when she hears the results, because of her eyesight! What a wonderful invention!!

Good, works well, just like the skinny one better for ease of carrying around.
