Description
- Comes in a solid maroon box with a cream colored cardboard band with the Pleasant Company name on it. There is a small white heart on the end of the box with the initials "SD".
- Samantha comes with an approximately 4" X 4-1/2" brochure which was rubber-banded to her body at the time she was first received from the manufacturer, as well as a hand tag on her wrist which discusses hair care.
- Samantha was made in the U.S.A. and has a tan body. She was purchased in 1991 and comes with a receipt of purchase.
- Samantha wears a silky, stylish striped dress with white, brown and red stripes. It has long sleeves with cuffs, a high neck, a pleated panel down the front and a pleated skirt. Samantha wears a white cotton undergarment, black tights and shiny black shoes with a strap across the ankle. A wide maroon ribbon belt with a golden buckle encircles the waist.

Samantha is another example of the superior craftsmanship exemplified by a Pleasant Company doll. Her beautiful, long brown hair, with bangs, is shiny and soft -- it looks real. Her lightly curled eyelashes are thick -- apparently quite a bit thicker than those on the new dolls. Samantha's eyes are a deep chocolate brown and her skin coloring is something one simply cannot capture with a camera -- it is natural and pure with just a hint of blush on the cheeks and lips.
