A diver's knife is truly a tool - useful for tasks from cutting fishing line to pointing out marine life to signaling to a dive buddy by knocking on your scuba tank. The Cressi Skorpion knife is a well-balanced divers knife with a strong tempered blade that is very popular with scuba divers and free divers alike. Features: Available in sharp drop tip or blunt tip. One side of the stainless steel blade is straight edged; the other side has serrations along the edge along with a line cutter notch. Sheath with locking mechanism to allow a one-hand release. Two knife straps included to attach the sheath to your leg.

Titanium blade, but the rest of the knife is garbage.
Who makes a DIVE knife out of iron parts??? Stupid. After just 1 dip in the ocean, part of the handle started to rust. Completely unacceptable. Also, the plastic holder and strap weren't designed by a smart person. The plastic piece that holds the knife has uncomfortable square edges that come in contact with the leg. It's not ergonomic. It's shaped like it's made out of Legos. The rubber straps are also a joke. You have to poke holes in them yourself, and the rubber pulls on your leg hair. Not comfortable unless you're wearing a dive suit. While swimming, it doesn't stay in place unless you make it really tight like a tourniquet. If a smart person designed this, the straps would be made out of some kind of durable nylon material and the knife holder would be rounded and contour to the shape of a human leg.I'll probably change the straps myself and make some modifications to make it work. And Cressi designers need to go back to the drawing board.

Very poor retention system and knife hilt rusts
This knife rusts on the hilt, despite meticulously rinsing it every time after diving in salt water. But the worst part about it is the pathetic retention mechanism. It doesn't securely retain the knife and you will constantly worry about losing it...until you do.

Unimpressed by the corroding hilt
Unimpressed by a nice titanium blade and a hilt that rusts. A year after purchase the hilt looks like it had been left out on the beach. We rinse it after every use and stow with our other gear. Just surprised that this otherwise fine dive tool would be so thoughtlessly designed with a corroding component.

Wouldn't recommend - needs some rework before it's a great knife
I like Cressi's products normally, but even after 2 days of diving around PCB, this started rusting out. There is a noticeable gap between the blade and hilt that keeps getting water stuck in there and that's where the rust formed. The blade appears to be sharp enough for it's intended purpose, but the product doesn't feel as high quality as other products I've seen from Cressi or other dive knifes out on the market.

Worth the purchase for me.
Nice knife and for those having trouble with a little rust, please lightly oil coat your knife before diving. A little clear silicone where the blade enters the handle is helpful too. Just basic care is needed. Same for all knives.

works well but construction of sheath is kinda cheap. It would be nice if it had some grip on the back of the sheath so that it wouldn't slide from the side to the front of my leg after walking with my wetsuit wet.

Looks good and will be a welcome addition to my kit.
Nicely packaged, and about the 'right size'. On first look I am delighted. I have read about rust, but I always wash and dry my knives and some surface rust is 'par for the course' in my very long (40 year) scuba instruction career. Steel wool generally gets rid of surface rust.I like the well designed leg (calf) straps. Wish they had included some lanyard cord as they have on other knives.

Rusty knife after 1st use
Product seemed great at first. Solid knife with nice angle of sharpness. Good holster included BUT.... after the first use at the beach it rusted all along the metal connecting to the handle. I guess i did not clean it well enough before storing. This is not my first fishing knife purchased but it is the first to ever get rust. Not so excited about this purchase now that time had passed.

Great knife.
I like this knife a lot. I don’t use it for much in the water but I did have an opportunity recently to switch out some bouy lines and this thing cut right through no problem.

For those with rust issues
For those having issues with rust, just because it’s a dive knife doesn’t mean it doesnt need maintenance before/ after a dive.

Good dive knife.
Still have yet to use it. Appears to be well made and the way it is secured is good.

Not what I was expecting
I was expecting a titanium knife. The ad was a bit unclear. Also, there is no lanyard loop, which I missed. Last, the rubber on the strap did not have holes punched through.
