Edit 1 year later: it's too small. Also, place somewhere where the liquid can drip off. It does work better than just sitting on the counter.I'm pretty sure it works. (I need to test it better) It isn't what I thought. I thought it was full of a no freeze liquid. This is a metal plate with rubber on the corners. The quality looks good though. I ran it through the dishwasher just fine.

I tried to contact the seller, but no response. I ordered this because of the 4 red silicon corners. It arrived with only 3. I contacted the seller asking if they could send me a 4th corner, but they didn't get back to me and now it's too late to return. Then another red corner fell off and vanished. The item works okay, but is much thinner than my original that I had for years. When it really comes down to it, you can defrost things just as well in a metal frying pan or even a cookie sheet. It's the metal that defrosts it.

Not too bad of a product. Would have been nice to have an angle to one side for dripping or some kind of area to collect dripping. Has a cheap feel to it, rubber legs at the corners fall off easily and will become contaminated with whatever it is you are defrosting. Otherwise works as described, definitely defrosts quicker than just sitting out by itself.

I had some very thick pork chops that I defrosted just to check out the defroster. I put them on the defroster frozen solid at 4:30 pm and they were completely defrosted by 6:00 pm. Very impressed. When I put out thick pork chops to defrost in my sink all day, I will come home to them still frozen in the middle.

I found frozen avocado halves at a restaurant supply store that thawed very quickly and without drying out. Normal, counter-top thaw allows the outside to dry before the inside is fully thawed. I also had great luck with 1" steaks, and boneless, skinless chicken thighs. I am quite happy with how it works.
