very good quality notebook with excellent paper and organizational features
I've been testing many journals and notebooks through the Amazon Vine program and what I'm learning is that not all 100gsm paper behaves in the same way. And if I've understood correctly, this is because it is simply an indicator of weight. I've never seem 100gsm paper that allows for ink bleed through of normal pens, but it can vary in terms of shadow left on the reverse side of the page. This is paper that allows for very little shadow on the reverse side of the page, which is what I prefer, because it gives a cleaner and less visually distracting look. And since I use a fountain brush pens to practice Chinese character writing, I also like to know which notebooks will put up with that. Some have to be reserved for just normal pens (I mostly use gel pens), but this notebook will let me play with that fountain brush pen just fine. So in my book, I would say this is high quality 100gsm paper because of that tolerance. As for the rest of the features, the wire in the spiral binding is hefty and not likely to get easily bent out of shape. I had to bend one of the tails of the wire in a bit more so as to not catch my knitted clothing, but that's no big. There is zero effort to get the journal to open at any page and lay flat because of this binding. Also, I appreciate the number of pages, because it seems like if a manufacturer is going to go to the effort to provide all this heftiness, why not support the maximum number of pages? This thickness feels exactly right. Notebooks with table of contents pages are relatively new to me, and I like it - and it's better when the pages are numbered for you to make utilizing the TOC more straightforward. The other feature that I've recently learned to enjoy is the "Memo No" field. Journaling has proven tremendously helpful to me and I don't stick to any theme. Sometimes I'm trying to track progress on a fitness goal. Sometimes I'm offloading to-do's so I can free up mental resources. Sometimes, I'm just doing the traditional journal thing and just writing down thoughts and ideas. The memo field allows me to assign numbers as I go, so I can reference earlier trains of thoughts when I come back to them.I think this is an outstanding notebook with pretty great dimensions, heftiness and paper quality and think it's worth the price and then some.

So many great features to this notebook- love it for note taking
I wanted a notebook to use for several online classes I am taking, to take notes in- and I ordered this in hopes of using it for this purpose. While this notebook is a bit different from what I expected, I have decided it is far and beyond best- and had many features I didn't even know I wanted- until I started to use it for my classes. While I have never used a table of contents when I saw one in the front of this notebook I realized how great one would be. Because if others look at the photos that I added with this review- in one column of the contents you have a place to write your content- in the column beside it, you have a place to write the topic, theme or subject matter that is in this particular place. It made me think how nice it would be that when I reference back to my notebook, I can now find exactly what I am looking for- as long as I put it in the table of contents, here. I love to be able to go back to my notes years later to reference things. Users are given four pages (the first four of the notebook) for their content. All the pages after are for notes. In the top left of the header of these pages are the seven days of the week, small and encased in boxes. You can use this spot to mark the day of the week in which you write on this page (so you know when the notes you write down are taken). On the left side of the header, there is a place to write the memo number and underneath, the date.A nice thing about this notebook too, is that there are page numbers on the bottom of the sheets. While it is said there are 300 pages on this notebook- that is true- however it is only if you take into account page 1 has page 2 on the back- and page 3 has page 4 on the back- and so on until page 299 has 300 on the back. So there are 300 pages total in this notebook- but it is only when you take into account the front and the back of the page. Still, even doing that, this is still a thick notebook and if you take a look at the photos that I added with this review, you can see how the page, header and page numbers are set up. All the pages of the notebook are the same (of course, except for the page number ;).I found the cover of this notebook to be of great quality, very durable and much nicer than I expected of a notebook cover- I don't think it could easily be bent or ruined in any easy way. You can see the thickness of the cover if you look at the photos that I added and the fact that I am able to attach my pen with the back strap included on the notebook is a boon (as I am always misplacing my pens ;). There is also a strap that wraps around the cover- I find these to be great when I stick papers inside my notebooks- to hold them there and also, when a notebook gets worn (as I am very hard on my notebooks).I also took a photo of the notebook next to a hardback book that I am reading- so that others who are interested in this notebook can gauge the size of it. Please note that this is a hardback book next to the notebook- which shows they are about the same size (however the notebook is a little bigger).Personally, I love the size of the notebook and am glad to have it for online classes- as it fits perfectly into my bookshelf too! I always disliked that most notebooks that I took notes in through college, after, wouldn't fit well in my bookshelf. I think, had I been able to fit my notebooks on my bookshelf, I'd still have all my college notes- as I would have loved to save them- but since they never fit in a bookshelf well, they would sit in an odd spots and ultimately get ruined or packed away forgotten about and then tossed. I am so glad that- with this notebook- that won't happen.I highly recommend this notebook and give it five stars- as I find it to be a very durable product, with a well thought out design that takes into account many issues that note takers have- solving them and giving users a wonderful study and/or writing tool- I even forgot to mention that there is a folder on the back of the notebook, with a few different colored tab sticker that are included- which you can see in my photos (because there were so many good things to write about- I forgot one feature ;).
