Genuine Parts 15-80647 Heating and Air Conditioning Blower Motor Resistor

My wife's 2007 Hummer H3 has been a mixed blessing. 1: She loves it, but 2: The thing seems like it was built by a drunken autoworker on a Monday or Friday (as it seems like something is always breaking on it).She comes home one day and tells me her Air Conditioning isn't working. Checked the fuses, all good, checked relays (all good). Did some binging around for the problem, and found people saying to check the resistor pack under the passenger's dash. Sure enough, the connector showed a burn mark that these things make when they die.Tried to order a new one from Shucks (or Crager or whatever the heck they call themselves now), as well as Autozone. They had them listed for around $60, but neither had them in stock (or would let me backorder them).In a hunch, I tried Amazon, and there it was... not only a suitable repalcement, but OEM to boot, and at $40 less than the local guys.It took a little longer to arrive (think it was 5 days to west coast), but it was only a 5 minute swap job (2 screws, pull out, put new one in, screws in and connect.Now-- why does a 3 year old vehicle need a new blower resistor? Take that up with GM, as this is a common part on many cars and trucks. I've had Nissan's and Fords for up to 15 years and never had such a problem.Anyway, this is a perfect OEM replacement, excellent price, and not hard to swap.

Worked bug not for long

Perfect fit, oem part. I've gone through 2 of these already. Good thing they're cheap and easy to replace.

When the A/C blower on my 06 Hummer H3 went out, I took it to the dealership and was quoted nearly 200.00 to fix. After checking some online forums I found that the resistor is a know problem with the H3 and Colorado's. I ordered the part for under 20.00 and it took about 20 minutes to replace the old one with this part. It has worked fine for about 6 months, no issues. So if you want to spend only 10% of what the dealership will charge you and you have 20 to 30 minutes, this is the part for you.

Very easy replacement. Old transistor was burned out as was wiring harness, so needed this part plus the harness for success. Did it all myself and saved hundreds of dollars of dealer service department fees. Am betting they could have fixed it in 30 minutes or less (it took me 40) but they'd have charged for at least two hours of labor and had a mark-up on the parts themselves too.

This is part is first off a crazy design for an automobile company to design in their vehicle! Know that when this part goes out then it will most likely fry your wiring harness as it did mine. For me I just clipped the ends of the wire and put new ends on them. This part fixed the issue and is exactly the proper part at half the price that the auto stores want for it

Temporary fix, until they get the "required" parts to fix the recall. Easy fix as long as you don't fry the harness connector, do not take it to a shop, you only need some flexibility and a screwdriver to get it, it just behind the bottom of the glove box. If your heater/a-c blower stops, cut the power immediately, this will help save the connector.

I used this, in conjunction with the GM harness for my H3's air conditioning and heater blower when it stopped. I looked up on youtube how to assemble and replace this unit with the one that was in my car. It took about 10 minutes to swap the good for the bad and works perfectly.
