This light has a proper beam for diving and is tight enough to effectively communicate to your buddy. It's not a diffuse video light but a focused propper dive light. Switch works well, varying output levels to match your need. Convenient switch lockout control to avoid accidental on (or off's). Good quality threading and finish on the light - nice relatively small 18650 light size that works well as a secondary light or utility light for day dives.

Found this small and bright dive light and get ready for lobster season. Very bright with strong beam underwater.

I have other led lights that are much brighter but are not 100% waterproof like this is. That is why I got it. The downside is you have to take the battery out and use their charger. I get why because it needs to not have water penetration, but I have grip issues and it was hard to remove for me and you also have to keep track of their custom charger that comes with it. I am not a diver so maybe underwater it would seem brighter but I work in wet conditions and wanted a light that wouldn't get damaged in water.

The media could not be loaded. I was a little reserved when I first received the Sofirn SD03. It is extremely well built but I didn't know how well it would perform because of the small size. I am happy to report that over the course of the past month I've been using it I've been blown away. No it's not a 20,000 lumen monster but for the price point and the size it's perfect for just about any condition regarding lakes, rivers and light diving. The battery life is a little better than average for most of the 18650 lines. The power switch is top notch. With the lanyard it's absolutely a breeze to use underwater and provides ample lighting for whatever you need. For use as a normal flashlight, it has plenty of throw and an adequate amount of spill. I highly recommend this Sofirn for anybody that needs a in or out of the water flashlight. Perfect for the boat or rafting! First of all, let me say that if you don't need "Waterproof" then this flashlight might be a little bit more basic than you're wanting. For instance, to recharge, you need to open it up and take the battery out, and so on. No charging port on the side. Also, no zoom. Those things would interfere with waterproofing. That said-- not that I plan to do any deep dives with this light (I live far from deep water), I like the idea of having a flashlight that I know can withstand heavy rain and minor flooding. The switch on the flashlight is smooth-operating. Mechanically, this flashlight seems extremely solid. Low-medium-high and long-press for off. That works good-enough for me.

The Sofirn SD03 Dive Lightis compact, easy to use, and it works great. It is operated by one raised push button on it, it has a few brightness settings, and can even be locked so it won't accidentally be turned on/off. To use it, just make sure the dial is in the unlocked position, then pushing the button once turns it on, subsequent button pushes cycles through the brightness settings, and to turn it off, just hold the button down for a few seconds. This flashlight is very bright (on it's highest setting), and can be seen from a good distance away. It's waterproof, and can be used for diving - it can withstand/be used up to 328 feet deep. This flashlight comes well packaged with a wristlet handle that can be tightened so it will not fall off, it also has included an extra O-ring, USB-C charging cord, and charger for the rechargeable battery in the flashlight (does not come will outlet adapter box). It is a nice, handheld, portable flashlight that is versatile, and travel-friendly - it's battery doesn't take very long to charge, and it lasts a good amount of time. Overall, I think it's well made, designed, and high quality - a good value for the price, especially in comparison to others like it. Did you every wish you could shine a bright light while swimming in a dark lake? Well this cool diving flashlight fills the bill. The flashlight is about 6 inches long and is constructed out of solid metal and has some heft to it. It comes with a lanyard so the flashlight can be worn on a belt or to wrist. The flashlight can be set to the locked position and there a several different light modes to choose from. This flashlight is super bright and can be used on land if you aren't into diving. The flashlight is 100% waterproof so when not diving there are no worries using the flashlight in the rain. The downside is the flashlight gets very hot quick so it may be too hot to hold in your hands. Fortunately, it comes with a safety feature to dim the light if too much heat is being generated. The flashlight battery is fully chargeable and comes with its own charger and cable for convenience.
