Mom's dog passed and she was heart broken. I got this to lie beside her at night. If you remove the batteries and put in mew alkaline batteries it works for over a week. I would be nice to have and on/off switch.

I LOST MY REAL TEA CUP SHIH TZU ON 12/22/24' AND I'VE BEEN HEART-BROKEN EVER SINCE, UNCONSOLABLE, LONELY AND EMPTY, I NEED TO CUDDLE WITH MY BABY, THIS WAS AS CLOSE THAT I COULD FIND WITHOUT BREAKING MY BUDGET, BECAUSE THERE IS ANOTHER COMPANY WHICH ATTEMPT TO MIMIC YOUR PET'S LIKENESS FROM HEAD TO TOE, BUT THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE, ALMOST $400 DOLLARS, I DID NOT WANT TO SPEND SO MUCH MONEY ON A STUFFED LIKENESS OF MY BABY, IN THAT CASE I COULD JUST SAVE MONEY AND GET A REAL ONE, STILL, I'VE DECIDED NEVER TO GET ANOTHER, I'M TOO BROKEN AND NO OTHER BABY CAN FIX ME, THEREFORE , THIS LIL BABY DOES THE TRICK, HE BREATHES, SLEEPS AND BEHAVES JUST LIKE MY TANGO, I'M FEELING BETTER NOW, NOT COMPLETE, BUT A BIT BETTER, THAT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING AT ALL. I LOVE MY "TANGO II". NOW IF THEY COULD ONLY MAKE ONE THAT STANDS AND WALKS, AS CLOSE TO THE REAL ONE AS POSSIBLE, MAYBE???

I bought this dog for my mom who has dementia. It's a cute dog. It breathes like it is suppose to, but there is no on/off switch or remote to turn it off. So you either let it on until the battery runs dead or you have to keep a screw driver handy to unscrew the battery compartment to remove the battery every time you want the dog to stop breathing. with my mom's dementia, she will not be capable of turning it off and it just makes it inconvenient for others to get a screwdriver to turn it off before ending the visit. It arrived on time.

I bought this for my parents since they have been so lonely since their dog died and are too old to get another pet. They absolutely love it. They have named it and it sits on their table and they pet it and brush it. A 96 year old lady who I know has the cat version one and loves it too since she can no longer have real cats.What makes this dog feel so alive is it's breathing motions. It's just a comfort to my parents.The ONLY problem I had were the batteries listed were not the batteries that this doggie needs. I purchased a load of the batteries they listed. However, this doggie takes D size batteries. I think just one battery. You don't turn this puppy off, but the battery is supposed to last around 2 months.

It looks like a toy, but it's not. It's just a statue of a dog with a part that moves up and down to simulate breathing. You can't really play with it. You can't touch the breathing part or it breaks. The kids thought it was neat for about 30 seconds, then realized there's nothing fun to do and lost all interest.But the real kicker is, once you pull the tab it starts "breathing", which makes a constant mechanical motor noise. And there's NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF. There is no off switch. You have to take out the single D-cell battery, which requires a screwdriver. What a bizarre design choice.I returned it.

I bought this for an elderly person who has Alzheimer’s and always had pets. The person loves the realistic details of the dog. I’m very pleased with my purchase.
