My student loved it.

Hard cover is sturdy enough to protect the pages within. The gold edge of the paper gives it a nice appearance, and there's a designated space in the corners of each page for the date and the day of the week, which is convenient. The high-quality look and feel of it makes it perfect as a gift. I have a leather journal cover that uses A5 size journal "refills", and I got this in hopes it would fit, which I'm happy to say that it did.

The gold leaf on the edges of this journal make it so much cuter! I love the double heart on the front cover as well. The front cover is soft and smooth and has just a slight texture that is different than your average notebook/journal. The inside pages have a spot to put the date as well as circle/fill in the day of the week it is. I love this feature in journals! $8 for a bound journal is a good deal and about the same as many other places you can find similar quality journals.
