Excellent sound quality and very well made. Bass and clarity out performs more expensive full size headphones. Needs experimentation with bud sizes to get the fit right and tend to come loose from the ear easily, I find I am always touching them to push them back in. The earpieces are partly metal and the "industrial" styling may not suit everybody, but this indicates that effort has gone into sound quality that you can hear rather than appearance that you can't see (in the ear).The button that controls music and calls via a smartphone (also works with iPod touch) is useful as it not only pauses music but also skips if desired - no fumbling in your pocket to skip a track. The microphone works well and means you can have excellent sound quality and make/receive a call.The problem with these for me is that the fabric wrapped lead is quite stiff and springy and it will not stay neatly coiled. The result (unless you use the little circular tin that they come with) is that they get tangled very easily and once tangled are a nightmare to untangle. The stiff lead also transmits the sound of rubbing on fabric while in use.Update:Since I originally wrote this review the "paint" around the ear piece started to flake off. I obtained a replacement pair, but the same is happening again after a month's use. The earpiece is made of coated metal and the coating flakes off exposing the metal - the current pair is worse than the first in this respect. Further experience with the lead is that this tangles extraordinarily easily, partly due to the angular nature of the components (mic, controller, ear pieces) combined with the stiff lead. The microphone catches on a shirt collar easily and tugs at the ear.As a result I can't really recommend them.

I'll start by saying that after a few months the paint has nearly completely flaked off the headphones, making them look quite ugly.The good:The microphone is of good quality.The sound is incredibly good, especially for the price, once you get the fit of the earbuds right.The bad:The earpieces tend to slip out very easily regardless of the bud size, and then sound tinny and thin when they do.The paint has flaked off in 4 monthsThe cable has started to fray in 4 monthsThe Pause/play button often double-clicks when it's clicked once and fails to properly register multiple clicks (such as a double click for next song which annoyingly just pauses your music)The lead transmits any rubbing/contact noises through the earpiecesIncredibly frustrating to untangle

Clear, lovely rich sound. The added benefit of the single in-line control button being able to play/pause music and answer/end calls. This coupled with the in-line microphone makes calls whilst you're listening to music a doddle.The braided cable feels strong but does seem to tangle and catch a little more than a plastic cable.Overall very good headphones.
