Butter Bell White The Original Crock by L. Tremain, Petit Collection-Holds 2.5 tablespoons of Butter, 3x3x2.5

This Butter Bell only holds around 2 tablespoons of butter which is perfect for me since I am a widowed senior citizen and don't use a lot of butter but want it spreadable when I do. This little Butter Bell works perfectly for me. I just refresh the cold water when I use it or every day or two if I haven't used it. I bought the bigger one and could not eat the butter fast enough and it spoiled. I was glad they had the smaller one.

I had a regular size bell that held a full stick of butter, but I never filled it all the way because I don’t use that much butter. This one is the perfect size for me, as it holds 2-2.5 tablespoons. When it’s empty, I toss it in the dishwasher and refill. Easy. Wish they made this one in more colors and that they printed a water line in it, but those are minor quibbles.

I've used a large butter keeper for a long time, but wanted a smaller one since there's only one of me. This one is better, but I really wish there was one that would hold a half stick of butter. It's easy to buy butter in half sticks, so why not a butter keeper for them?

It’s smaller than you think it is!That aside, it’s a good little butter bell. The size makes it trickier to find the right amount of water, but it does its job well and is MUCH cleaner than a butter dish.I live in a pretty cool, dry climate, so I don’t actually put water in it, because I think the water promotes bacterial growth if you’re not ON TOP of the water changes, and I’m lazy.But it’s very cute! It would be perfect for passing around butter during a meal.

I read the reviews from others complaining this butter bell is too small. It works for me because it is just me and my husband. and perfect for one meal.I purchased three of these because when I am entertaining I like to place multiple butter dishes on the table. This way, people don't have to wait for others to pass the butter.

It leaked all over my counter and then the side broke open for no reason. Maybe it had tiny crack??

Awwww!!! I ordered the wrong size. Thought I ordered normal one got the small. Small only holds 2 tbsp. Not sure who uses less than 2 at a time hahaha

Although it is small, and needs to be refilled regularly, I love having the option of fresh spreadable butter. Other than times when more than a couple of people need softened butter for toast etc at the same time, it works great for our home.
