Works really well
Very quick to connect to my car. Actually very impressed concieldering the price. It doesn't read stored codes but then you need to spend big money for something that does that. All in all very good.

Update:TOPDON Support were very good in getting back to me with the appropriate assistance regarding the issues below. For the BMS issue, apparently my Sportage is not equipped with a BMS.For the DTC P1233 it is Kia specific and is not currently included in the current CarPal version. They will add in the future but they did provide potential remedial works in the interim. For the Oil/Service Interval reset, there has been progress but a solution is under investigation. However I can easily do this via the vehicle service menu. The live data works reasonably well, but you have to expect you only get the basics and I note that some do not appear to work, RPM is an example. One of my issues with the live data is, after recording, you cannot advance the recording by sliding the frame rate to where you would like to view it. Instead you have to play the recording at max 8x speed and wait until you reach the point you want.****The story:I have a 2016 Kia Sportage 1.6 GDI petrol. The device correctly identified my vehicle VIN and car model.I had 3 warning lights pop up on my instrument cluster a few days back, which pointed to a wheel sensor fault but I also suspected that maybe a depleted 9 year old AGM battery may have thrown some codes. So first thing, run a simple Battery test. Timed out! Tried again and again, Timed out. OK forget it. Install a new battery run the BMS reset and run another test. Installed new battery, selected BMS reset and the app displayed my VIN. Selected next step and it wanted me to modify or manually enter my VIN!! What!? I entered manual mode and (YET AGAIN) it asked me where my vehicle was from, Europe, USA, Korea, etc. Selected Europe but only Hybrid EV Sportages were listed, including models from Mexico, Vietnam, India (BTW I did try Korea). Gave up on the BMS reset. Tried battery test again ..... timed out (update: this now works)! Complete fail on the battery test and BMS reset. Looked at the reset oil function and only American manufacturers were listed. By now I'm getting peed off!To be fair the vehicle heath check worked splendidly. It identified 2 fault codes, one correctly identified the faulty wheel sensor and its location and the app provided appropriate remedial work. However the other fault code P1233 was not found in the apps "DTC" Repair Guide so I had to search the Internet for this issue.Overall, whilst I have some frustrating moments with the device it did identify a problem I never knew I had (there had been some symptoms) and combined with the efficient support I have therefore revised my rating from 1 star to 3.As none of the reset services actually work for my vehicle and taking into consideration the limited validity of the device (1 year) before it dumbs down, I probably would have been better finding a device that offered lifetime updates.
