I am not a novice builder/tinkerer by any stretch. Thought this would be a fun project that didn’t involve safety goggles or serious tools for a rainy weekend. That said, this thing was a mess from the word go and I should’ve trusted my instinct and sent it back before starting to put it together. First, they have you assemble this thing mounted on a wall. That’s nearly impossible given how delicate the parts are. Second, the instructions are not for the faint of heart. They are so poorly written that you end up having to make calculated guesses to fill in the poorly written/drawn instructions. Third, there is no way to test your build until it’s completed - and there is no way to disassemble it once it’s built without damaging the whole piece. Mine never gained perpetual motion. I can’t and won’t spend the time to troubleshoot it. Waste of time.
