The RoboSnail is an automated aquarium glass cleaner that activates once every 24 hours independent of the user. The RoboSnail by activating once every 24 hours independent of the user prevents buildup on the aquariums surface associated in maintaining an aquarium. This results in less intensive cleaning of the glass surface in both marine and freshwater aquariums. (Glass up to 3/8ths or 10mm )

Saves a lot of time.. keeping my tank glass looking nice from algae growth
This little Robot works excellent! If you pay attention to understanding how it operates and set up..the first time I followed the instructions it worked well but when it reached the end of my 200 gallon aquarium it would bump against the edge a few times then rotate up and go to the edge again and repeat.. it finally fell off. I sent a email to the Manufacturer concerned with how to solve it. The Inventor contacted me directly with some suggestions after making sure I programmed it correctly. He explained how it operates. It is supposed to go to the end of the aquarium and once the Robosnail reaches the end the front wheels are supposed to drop off the edge signaling the Robosnail it is at the end and to return to base. My aquarium had a thick bead of silicone inside where I had resealed the tank from a leak. So the inside scuff pad was hitting the silicone not allowing the Robosnail to sense it was at the end. The Manufacturer mentioned that if I had a issue with it he would quickly send me a replacement. After explaining how it works. I said I’ll try and set a barrier up to signal the Robosnail to return. All I did was get a 1/4 inch of plastic tubing and stick it with double sided tape on the outside of my aquarium right along the edge down to have the Robosnail bump into it and trip it’s switch in front instead. Easy fix and the tubing being black is almost invisible on my aquarium. Now once a day it automatically comes on and cleans my glass. It misses a couple spots minor and I have to wipe along the gravel at times though I have it programmed to go pretty low and touch my coral gravel in my Reef tank. In comparison the back glass of my aquarium is a pain for me to keep up with wiping off algae.. I’m considering buying a second one to use on the back glass of my Reef tank. There is mention of its noisy which it is but I prefer to know when it’s working and it doesn’t bother me that much since it keeps my glass clean saving me time. I think it is a fantastic invention with excellent support. This is a small Company that certainly back their product and will help with getting yours up and running. Once you understand how it operates it is a time savor. My Wife always comments now how nice our Reef tank stays looking now..yes it only cleans one side but my tank being large enough it makes a difference. Make sure you check your glass thickness.. if yours is 1/2 inch you will need the more expensive one. Mine being only 10 mm thick the $140 one works perfectly and has never fallen off again since I have it programmed correctly. I cannot imagine not having it now.

Doesn't work
First the entire tank must be clean like new just to get the unit to move. Been using it for 2 weeks now and alage is growing in the glass and the unitnmoved right over it and doesn't clean it. Have to clean the wheels at leat once a week for the unit to move up the glass. Loud and doesn't work.

It is wonderful when it is working Like anything you must keep it clean and do reasonable maintenance I did have issues with my first one and the owner REALLY stepped up and replaced it. I then needed to replace my battery. I had a hard time finding a replacement. Took it to battery store and they made one for meIf you have issues reread directions and if that doesn’t help I found the owners wanting to help make you satisfiedJohn T. Bloomfield Hills mi

Clean glass once and then let 'er do its thing!
This thing keeps my tank so clean!! You program it once and then it just does it's thing once a day! I have a bow front and it doesn't have any issues!

Doesn’t do a good job
It gets stuck at the top of the track a lot and needs you to help it. Doesn’t clean the glass like it should

Great until it broke in less than a year…should have paid attention to reviews.
I really want to like this device but unfortunately it’s not quite there.Generally speaking, it does a good job cleaning the area that it covers. However, are some major issues with the device that make me second guess my purchases.First, it can’t get to the very bottom edge of the tank. In other words, not only does it only clean one surface, it doesn’t even clean 100% of that surface. Inevitably, you have to regularly go in and clean the bottom edges, which is arguably the hardest edge to reach.Second, on a regular basis, the device gets stuck during a cleaning and has to be repositioned manually. I know that many have commented that this can occur if the glass gets dirty. However, in my experience, the issue appears to be caused by the wheels on the device rubbing up against the side of the device itself, which acts as a form of resistance on the wheels, which thereby makes it more difficult for the device to climb the wall properly. This seems like a design defect that should have been easy to fix.Third, the docking station charger shorted out after less than a year of use, thereby rendering the device unusable. When I contacted the company for help, they offered to send me a replacement for $65! That’s half the price of the device itself. Also, I’m not confident that the replacement won’t have the same issue in a year’s time.In summary, this device could be so great, but it’s just not quite there in some pretty major ways that the company could fix if they really wanted to.

Disappointed
Very cool idea. Poor implementation. Two issues prevented use.1. The red light on the Start/Program button never did turn green. Attempts to enter Programming Mode failed. Left alone on the charger for >24 hours before I suspected something was amiss. Purchasing a replacement battery resolved this issue; which illuminated the second.2. Upon entering Programming Mode, the unit begins moving down until nearly clear of the guides before stopping and rotating left and resuming a forward motion to get stuck at the edge of the aquarium. It's not an issue with loss of traction, but deliberate turns. I've been stuck here since then. Happens every time.I can run the unit without programming it, but it only runs in an area of about a square foot for a few minutes before half-heartedly moving near the dock, at the top of the tank. I say half-heartedly because it is usually a few inches to the right and has to be manually moved back into the cradle.
