High Grade Universal Century 1/144 MSM-10 ZOCK Review
HGUC MSM-10 ZOCKAs the last member of the original Amphibious One Year War Zeon Mobile Suit to be released as an HGUC, I had some high hopes for this one. Needless to say, this suit fulfilled all of them. The fact that the box was even larger than that of the Acguy is good enough.With the Zock, Bandai cemented the fact that their crap improves. The Zock was only released a few months after the Acguy, and all of my complaints with the latter were completely fixed, though some were fixed a little too well.Like the Acguy, the Zock showed some early semblance of Bandai incorporating the "skeleton" system found on their Master Grades into High Grade. As such, the upper body of the Zock is incredibly hefty, and looks great on its own. Furthermore, the Zock has an actual mono-eye shield made of PET Plastic. It looks great, and certainly a step up from the Acguy's clear shield. The mono-eye is also colored plastic now, instead of being a sticker atop of a piece of clear plastic as seen on the Acguy.However, I still do have some complaints. The Zock's mono-eye, for instance, is too stiff. It barely moves even after I put my Fremont fitness into it; it makes me think I need to oil the mono-eye track. Furthermore, the Zock's fingers (Iron Nail) have three joints, but the bottom joint is just plastic rubbing plastic, which already wore out on 3 of my 6 fingers. It is disappointing to see Bandai stick to plastic-on-plastic joints, since they suck absolute s***.In any case, for about $25, you can't go wrong with the Zock. Its big, impressive, and easily one of my favorite MS's to date.

he comes with everything you would want but has a few painful nub marks to remove
This is the HGUC Zock at 1:114 scale. The complaints one can have with this kit all lie within the Mr. Potatohead style body he has. He has the articulation you can expect from a model with this body, a little waist crunch limited shoulder movement, single joint elbow, and very limited movement in the legs due to him not having any knees plus the moneyes move freely along a track so you can have him looking at whatever you want. The front and back of this model are identical a strange design choice but adds a slightly creepy air to it. For anyone who just intends to build him, he comes with everything you would want but has a few painful nub marks to remove. If you intend to do some LED work on him he has plenty of space for the power, cables and placing the actual LEDs. If your intent is to paint him his pieces are relatively tight so for disassembly, you will want to sand some of the pegs to make taking them apart easier. For an odd bonus, his arms are actually relatively strong, even able to hold up his own body weight with ease.

Huge!
So my brothers and I were having a gunpla race involving marine mobile suits. I chose this guy, and ended up 2nd place out of third. (A Z'gok, Z'ok E, and a Zock) He's incredibly fast and easy to build; don't let his bulk scare you, it's mostly hollow.PROS:This guy dwarfs my 1/144 Zakus by a a good 2 inches. He's way more articulated than he looks, and is a fun build. The eye is also protected by a plastic "visor" so the eye looks like a targeting cimputer with little lines on it. Each claw has about 3 points of articulation, and the shoulder and elbow joints are strong enough to support him grasping a filthy Federation GM in the air.Cons:Anyone who knows what a Zock is knows that the front and back are the same. (So it doesn't have to turn around to fight, both front and back are exactly the same) That results in this model being only 1/2 of any other kit this size. Insanely fast to build, like I said before. The box is also huge, about a master grade size, but that's just to hold the 4 giant shells that make up 75% of his body. He's also insanely light for his size, and holding him without his skirt makes him feel like a potato.Totally worth it if you like Zeon gunpla, it's more articulated than a lot of other stuff his size.

価格高騰していましたが、9月に入って価格が下がったので今しかないっ!と思ってポチりました。ずっとアッガイさんと並べて置きたかったのですよ。水泳部は本当に愛らしい。手持ちのアクションベースじゃ、重たすぎて倒れました(笑)他の方も書かれていますが、はめ込むのに力がいります。私はあきらめて削りましたf(^_^;
