Great kit

Very annoyed that this ethernet adapter didn't work with the 4k firestick as advertised. I brought 2x of these products and i have read help reviews tried this item with several different ethernet cables, reset my firestick 4k and Nothing!!!!!!! No ethernet connection.This item clearly states that it works with all firestick models. If anyone out there who knows about the firestick 4k NOT 4k max!!! any help??????????

This is working fine for me on Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2021 version), but as another reviewer mentioned, it is not recognised on the Fire TV Stick 4K (non-Max, 2018-2022 version), it will pass through USB power in both cases but the ethernet adapter is not recognised on the older 4K Stick.On the 4K Max I am getting 330Mbps on the speed test, a big improvement on the 90Mbps I achieved with Amazon's own USB ethernet 10/100Mbps adaptor.For an alternative product that works for me on both the old Fire TV Stick 4K (2018-2022) and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2021) - and hopefully later versions that I do not have available to test - there is the Cable Matters item . That one does work with similar 300Mbps+ performance, but does take a different approach to cabling - with a long built-in Y cable which replaces your original power cable with a USB A plug back to the PSU/charger instead of containing a micro USB-B socket to accept your original micro USB power cable. That might be considered tidier for some people or unwanted extra work for others.

So far so good sons think ps 5 is a lot better takes a wee minute to connect to Internet so have patience

Looks good but unfortunately didn’t work for me. Firestick 4k it didn’t work with. May work fine with other systems. Had to give a one star otherwise couldn’t comment.

While this Ethernet adapter advertises 1000 Mbps speeds, the micro-USB version cannot deliver more than 480 Mbps, the theoretical maximum for USB 2.0. Since the output is hardwired to micro-USB, it cannot be used with faster USB standards like USB Type-C or USB 3.0. This design fundamentally locks it to USB 2.0 speeds, which bottlenecks the adapter’s potential.That said, it does outperform WiFi in key areas. For example, latency was consistently lower during testing, with median round-trip times reduced by up to 50% compared to WiFi connections. Additionally, packet loss was almost negligible, with an improvement of approximately 2-3% fewer dropped packets, which can be critical for streaming and online gaming.However, had I known the micro-USB limitation, I would have opted for a more cost-effective 480 Mbps Ethernet adapter, as it would have delivered identical real-world performance on USB 2.0 devices. This adapter appears to offer no meaningful advantage over lower-cost options that don’t mislead with claims of 1000 Mbps speeds.

Easiest way to convert a Firestick to Ethernet connection, very easy. Just unplug the power lead to the firestick and plug into the adapter, add an Ethernet cable, then plug the adapter’s lead into the Firestick! Works great!
