I purchased this unit for home use. Overkill, yes I know! I have had it for about 3 weeks and use it everyday. I have made sandwiches, grilled veggies, steak, chicken, flatbread, and even french fries. It's a fantastic unit. I have no doubt it will hold up to commercial use. I unplug the unit when I am not using it and also have it on the same "breaker" as my microwave (don't use both at the same time as I am sure it would trip the breaker). I have the ridged grill and was torn about whether I should get the flat surface instead. But because I love grill marks I decided to go with this unit. I am sure it's not as easy to clean as he flat but I have a pretty good method to keep it nice and clean. I pour hot water on the surface after use and close the slid for a few moments. Then I use the brush (included) to dislodge any stuck food. I rinsed again with hot water (after emptying the draining pan, which would be full of water from the first step) and then leave the unit on until the water dries up. If needed, I will rub lightly with oil. I am absolutely in love with this grill.

The grates are not removable so it can be hard to clean the ends and edges. Works great and does what it is suppose to. Will update on how long it will last

Works great!!! Just hope it Is not defective like the last one.It stopped heating after 3 weeks! A real pain.

DO NOT BUY, PRONE TO BREAKING DOWN FREQUENTLY! I'm a restaurant owner and have purchased 4 and had to return 3 units. From the power button not working to the grill not properly heating. Furthermore, I just had 2 of the replacement grills stop working... once again for the power button not allowing the unit to stay on more than 10 minutes, and the other is for the upper grill no longer heating up. Now I'm stuck with these units and the closest Waring repair is 3 hours away from my location. They will not repair on site and do not offer a loaner. They are stating the repair process will take 2-4 weeks. I have a busy restaurant and am unable to be without these units. I will have to take these two 80lb grills, 3 hours to the repair site. Customer assistance is poor.

It is an excellent grill. It takes 10-15 min to get warm. It cooks faster than expected. The grilled bone-in chicken pieces were more delicious than the baked chicken in my oven. The grilling surface is large enough to prepare a family meal. I like my Panini grill. It is worth every dollar I paid for it.

The heat. Element last one year not heavy duty

Great for home or small delicatessen, we have already usu it several times and the sandwiches come just like any restaurant or cafeteria, it will take about 10 to 15 min to reach 280 degrees, remember this is 120v, but after that it's no difference between the one that cost $ 2000.00 plus or this one. At first my wife thiught I was Creasy for spending this kind of money, now she loves it..
