I had one of the original versions of this type of throttle lock many years ago and didn't care for it very much. It was made of plastic and was nonadjustable. This TOTSS throttle lock is a big improvement over the original, perhaps the best of this type of device.Pros:- Made of aluminum and very sturdy- Installs easily without tools- Non-permanent installation allows easy removal or use on a different motorcycle- Fit and tension is adjustable with an integral thumbscrew and spring- Easy to use without changing hand positionCons:- Minimal installation and use instructions with no pictures or illustrations- Included 1-inch inner diameter silicone ring will not fit over rubber handlebar grips and is pretty much useless- Design can cause abrasion of handlebar grips over time

I bough this for my long rides on my Ninja, I recently rode it back to NC from NY and didn't have one of these and it was a bit rough on my throttle wrist and hand. Now with this when I am doing 600 miles I can use this handy gem to hold the throttle for me and give my right hand a break.
