These are a nice option for comfortable affordable boxer briefs. While I typically wear a large in almost every other article of clothing I usually wear a medium in boxer briefs to ensure more support, and that's the case here - Medium fits well.Snug and supportive without being too tight. The side seams are relatively flat and don't get in the way, but are reinforced well. The fabric in general is fairly thin, although they are reinforced in the crotch so they're not see through. Thinner fabric can also be considered an advantage for quick drying, as long as the fabric isn't so cheap that it wears out too quickly, and this seems to be a decent weave.The waistband is wide enough that it stays put well for me and isn't prone to rolling. I do wish the waistband coloring was a little less garish, I don't need everyone staring at AERO if it happens to peek above my pants, but I guess they're going to try and brand where they can. I was surprised to find that I really like the camera print on the one pair. I thought I would hate it, but it's actually interesting and different from the usual monochrome without being clownish.I could give or take the pocket. It is mostly a gimmick and away to differentiate, but unless you're single and just hang out in your underwear a lot, or your significant other doesn't mind it, it's probably of limited use. Although, I do see a use case as a secret stash for a travel brief, or under workout shorts.Overall a really good option that I'll probably order more of.

This is a great concept. The feel and quality is great for the price paid.The functionality of the pocket is amazing it holds anything from a small iPhone to a Samsung fold with a rugged case.These stretch great and are very comfortable.The only downside is that they run very loose. Usually I wear a large to be comfortable. I'm average height / weight. I started with a large and before i wore them i looked at the mesasurments and decided to return them for a medium. Now that I've worn a medium for a few weeks im I'm thinking of ordering a small.So just be careful on the size.

True to size for XL, these are comfortably-fitting value-priced $5.75-each briefs made well (in China) of good material. They're certainly no Wirecutter top choice like Saxx, Mack Wheldon, or even very good $5/pair cotton Kirkland Signature, but they are fine for hot days or when working out due to the wicking fabric. All the others I mention have a better pocket and are more comfortable over longer periods.The band rolls down a little, but so do those on Buck Naked's underwhelming but very expensive cooling Armachillo.And the side pocket? I've never seen this in a brief, but James Bond might have a use for it.4 stars for the athletic purpose's value and fit, less so for the potential longevity and being less than an everyday brief.My rating system:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park.
