Size 9 is about the same fit as a Birkenstock size 40. Got these for a beach vacation and they were great. I have trouble finding beach shoes that don't have a rough bumpy insole texture that I find uncomfortable, but these were perfect. No bumpy insole, they didn't slide on my feet even in the rain, are sturdy enough to wear on gravel, and look very nice too I have the color Variation Purple and it looks about the same as the photos. There's a bit of color worn off on the insole in a couple of spots now that I've walked in them for a couple of hours, but it can't be seen when I'm wearing them and hasn't affected how they feel. These are just what I was looking for.

These sandals are comfortable and very affordable.

I had Birkenstocks but they were too big. I ordered these and they fit more true to size and were just as comfortable for half the price.

For the price, these sandals are great! So comfortable to wear around the house or just to run an errand into town, great product! I also bought these in black.
