I had a radical masectomy in December. The surgeon told me I could use a scar treatment once the steristrips where gone. First I tried Maderma PM. Okay, but only at night? During the day I definitely needed something for the dryness and pulling on the incision. Scar Away, definitely not what I wanted including it is sticky. I tried this scar cream with silicone next and WOW! am I impressed. It feels like a real cream, not sticky at all. I use it twice a day and some days depending on how the incisions are feeling at least once more. It's so easy to rub in, just like lotion would be. The scars where the drains were inserted are almost gone after only a week. They were an ugly red/pink with the other creams. My incisions are softer and it might just be my imagination but I think they are already smoother. My compression bra doesn't stick to this cream like the gel did. And I have to give kudos to the dispening method. So easy and clean. Take the clear lid off, push down on the plunger and there is the perfect amount to put on. The jar doesn't get messy, it keeps the cream protected when the lid is open and I don't have a messy tube trying to squeeze out the gel. I'm not sure how it will work when the jar gets low. If there's an issue, I'll let you know. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has recently had surgery and looking for something to help with the healing process. Wish I'd had this 8 years ago when I had two surgeries for the first breast cancer occurence.

Where do I start? In February I took a fall in the garage and landed headfirst into my lawn mower and it and took a big avulsion out of the center of my forehead almost to my skull and just about lost an eye. With blood everywhere I went to the hospital and two plastic surgeons put this big piece of flesh back in the center of my forehead with 36 stitches. It was not pretty so I saw my dermatologist because the scar was very visible and he recommended this and one other when I try and now 3 months down the road people who never knew that I had the accident can't even see the scar. I use it about four times a day religiously and literally it has made all the difference in the world. Might do the scar is not gone but it's only been two and a half months and as I said if people hadn't known that I'd had the accident they would never know I had this scar that's a size of a silver dollar. My dermatologist can't believe the difference in how it looks from the way it started out to the way it is now. This is highly recommended and having been a combat medic and RN I've seen a lot of scars this stuff works fantastic for scar removal or enhancement.

I do multiple Amazon purchases every year without writing reviews. I feel compelled to take time to share my experience using this product. I had skin cancer surgery (MOHS procedure) on the right side of my face. The surgery was 11/14/2024 and the incision is approximately 2”. It runs just below the inner corner of my right eye straight downward, along the side of my nose. Not the most desirable location. I did have a skilled cancer surgeon, but the incision was hard to look at the first week. Suitors were removed on day 7 and I was told to begin applying silicone scar gel 2x day. I purchased the brand the Surgeon’s PA recommended. It is a thick silicone scar gel and that’s not easily massaged in. Directions noted to wipe excess gel off the skin. After 2 weeks, I started researching best ingredients for new scars and prevention of keloids. That led to an online search for a replacement scar cream/gel. I found this cream, which contained one of the ingredients I was looking for, DIMETHICONE. This ingredient isn’t found in many silicone scar products and I did an extensive search (online, not on Amazon). I read user reviews - 4.9 stars and hoped this product was the real deal and made my purchase. Amazon delivered the next morning before 8am. I started applying 3x per day….every day. That was approximately 4-5 weeks ago. The texture of this cream is very smooth/silky, unlike the other product, which was a tacky silicone scar gel. This cream felt soothing, moisturizing and is easily massaged in and absorbed. No excess tacky product that requires tissuing off, like the other product. Two very different scar formulas and textures. The dispenser is excellent and I feel it helps eliminate product waste. Within one week, I could tell an improvement, but it actually seemed like a sizable improvement…so I questioned if that was possible in such a short time. I kinda questioned if the improvements were really to the degree they seemed. Maybe it was just what I thought -versus- reality of the change that was happening. Hope that makes sense. I started taking nightly pictures every 2-3 days at that point. That way I would have a record of progress and the timeline. Each week the improvement continued - I made sure to add pressure at 4 weeks post surgery when massaging in the cream, which is proven to be beneficial flattening scars. Today, I saw my surgeon and he was shocked when he saw my face. He literally looked perplexed and finally expressed his disbelief over the appearance of my incision. I’m pretty sure his ego is a 10, but even so….he seemed in awe of how my scar looked, just shy of 8 weeks. Honestly, it’s barely visible. Clearly not at all what anyone would have expected based on my incision 7 weeks ago. I have followed all the surgeons post-op rules and protocols, but I truly do not believe my outcome today would be this good, if I had continued using the original scar product I purchased. I wholeheartedly believe this product, with consistent, daily use, plus massaging, has made a substantial difference in my progress and outcome. It has definitely proven beneficial to my facial scar to the point it is truly realistic that my scar will possibly continue improving with an outcome of 90-95% undetectable within another 2-3 months. That’s is nearly unfathomable and far exceeds any expectations I could have hoped for. Simply amazing and a gift. Hence, the reason I felt compelled to write this review. Skin cancer is scary enough and compounded if surgery is required and the location is on your face. I’m beyond grateful for early cancer detection, an excellent cancer surgeon and a product that offers superior results in scar enhancement/removal, especially when it’s in a highly visible location. I needed to buy some cream or ointment to remove the marks from a large burn I got. In my search, I found this cream, which I decided to buy because of the good reviews it has. I apply it mostly at night; it has a gentle consistency and the scent is mild. It really hasn't removed my spots, but I can say that it has improved the roughness I had on my scar, so I have faith in it now. I'll continue using it to get a complete result, but I'm already loving it.
