These sticks are really quite good, and nearly 30% off the cost of most beef sticks offered on the market. They're entirely pork, and have a good amount of Italian seasoning added. They taste very much like an Italian sausage, as they're mainly the same ingredients in a shelf-stable package. I've used these to replace the small sausage links in my breakfast most mornings, and can do a quick to-go breakfast with this and some pre-scrambled eggs in the morning. They're also good for a snack, but really fit well in the mornings.I've had trouble in the past with this brand (Vermont - beef sticks) having stale sticks, or sticks where the packaging failed and some of the sticks were spoiled on arrival. This package had no failures, but it's worth noting, since others have had similar problems. The sticks did have a slightly closer sell-by date than other sticks I've gotten, and include a production date as well. Maybe that's part of their quality control now. But be sure to check those when you get them.
