Nice tasting gin, will buy again

Very tasty gin
I bought this believing it be vastly reduced but I don't think it has barely ever been on at the price stated before the reduction, 40 odd quid certainly isn't the standard price. So the reduction to £22 wasn't the great discount it appeared. However this gin turned out to be delicious and I would buy it again. I found it quite distinctive from other gins so I find it odd that some people thought it bland. The more distinctive gins will always have some fans and some who aren't, but bland isnt a word I would use for it.

A Toast to the Arctic, Served in Your Glass
A Toast to the Arctic, Served in Your GlassDiving into the world of spirits is akin to embarking on an expedition—every sip, a discovery; each bottle, a story. Ungava Canadian Premium Gin, with its distinctive 70cl embodiment and an audacious 43.1% ABV, is no less an odyssey, offering a culinary voyage to the Canadian Arctic without needing to don your parka.Upon unsealing the bottle, one is greeted not merely by a spirit, but by an olfactory tapestry woven from the botanicals native to the Ungava Peninsula. This gin, resplendent with its unique golden hue—a palette swap from the conventional clear spirit—whispers tales of the northern tundra. Its colour, as enigmatic as the northern lights themselves, is derived from a handpicked selection of indigenous herbs including wild rose hips, cloudberry, and Arctic blend, which concocts a flavour as expansive as the Canadian wilderness from whence it comes.Sipping on Ungava is akin to serenading your palate with a chorus of complexity and smoothness seldom found in its contemporaries. The initial encounter is a refreshing burst of juniper—fundamental yet far from mundane, followed closely by a symphony of botanicals that dances gracefully between sweet, tart, and subtly earthy notes. It's the kind of spirit that demands to be savoured neat or perhaps gently cradled within an elegantly crafted martini. However, such a radiant star is not without its nebula. While I hold this gin in high esteem, the very aspect that sets it apart—its bold character and unique botanical blend—might also overshadow those seeking a more traditional gin experience. Its distinctiveness, although a virtue, may not align with every connoisseur's palette or cocktail blend, gently nudging it from universal acclaim.Nonetheless, Ungava Canadian Premium Gin remains an exemplar of faultless design and consistent high quality. It stands as a testament to the manufacturer's dedication to crafting a spirit that is not only reflective of its origin but also daringly innovative. For those looking to complement their bar with a gin that offers a narrative in every sip—a narrative as compelling and robust as the land it hails from—Ungava presents itself as a distinguished choice. In the realm of spirits, where innovation and tradition often clash, Ungava Canadian Premium Gin skillfully bridges the gap, offering an experience that is at once familiar and entirely novel. It does more than just occupy space on the shelf; it commands attention, inviting those who partake in its journey to explore the uncharted terrains of flavour and botanical craftsmanship. Here's to the spirit of the Arctic, distilled into a masterpiece that warms the soul. Cheers!

A very nice gin with a distinctive flavour
I really enjoyed this Canadian gin. The distinctive yellow colour is a quirky addition to the collection on my sideboard. Once it is diluted with tonic only a very slight hint of yellow remains. This gin has a very distinctive slightly bitter taste but at the same time is in the style of a London Dry Gin. It works extremely well in a martini. It makes a very smooth yellow drink which has a very distinctive yet subtle flavour. It isn't cheap but it is one which I will definitely be treating myself to again.

Love this gin!
This has to be one of the best I have tried in a while. Not only has a unique gin flavour but is also a distinct yellow in colour. Great just served with ice and tonic. Not too harsh even just served on its own. Will purchase again and already recommended

Bought as a present for my mum whos a big gin drinker. She usually drinks bombay but thought would mix it up a bit, she loved it ! Interesting but very crisp flavour, goes well with grapefruit.

Meh
Found it a bit bland. Drinkable but didn't really get any of the suggested botanicals come through. Nothing special.

Love Ungava- a favourite
We have bought several of these as gifts as well as for ourselves. The taste is not as strong as a clear gin but tasty nonetheless. & the colour is obviously a talking point. Would recommend Ungava
