I’ve tried one other set like this. Those I didn’t use because of the strong chemical smell that didn’t go away. When opening these there is a slight burnt rubber smell. I laid them out on the edge of the tub overnight to air out. By morning 90% of the smell was gone.These are about 9.5” long and 1.5” wide. The hook and clasp on the ends are metal. Unlike the other ones I tried these seem to have a rod of some sort in the middle because they will hold a shape even without being clasped. That does making hooking them easier than the ones that are just stuffed with foam.Sleeping with anything in my hair is never completely comfortable. I toss and turn so it is just a matter of getting them high enough in your head to be able to sleep comfortably.My curls didn’t last all day. But I knew they wouldn’t since I didn’t properly prep my hair. I think people are expecting too much of these. These are meant to maintain a blowout, not really give you one. If you already did a blowout and or curled your hair these will definitely extend it. But I don’t think you are going to get big bouncy waves but just using these overnight. Unless maybe you put in a lot of mouse or hairspray before rolling.

I did not get as good of results from these as I did the other style of heatless curler. I don't think these work very well on long, thick hair.

In the title of the listing it says "headband" so I assumed they would be much longer than what they are. They feel very well made and they're easy to bend in and out of shape and clasp together but I can't for the life of me get them to stay put even following tips online. I'm sure this is just user error somehow but it is a little disappointing. These likely aren't even for my hair, I have thick, long, curly hair already and even when I held one in place with my hand and used a blowdrier to test them I didn't notice it do very much to actually curl it. These are probably more for maintaining a salon blow out for a few days and for much shorter or thinner hair than I have, I'll keep trying but so far no dice on them.

These heatless hair curlers are very soft, bend easily, and stay in place thanks to their metal hook closures. I did not notice any unpleasant smells on teh set I received. I am new to using these, but found a video online for tips to use with my shoulder length hair. They stay in place well and do what I expected them to do. As I gain experience with them, I'm sure my hair will look better.

I own several types of overnight curl rods. The quality of these is comparable to the others that I have. I recommend keeping these rolled in your hair overnight for the best results.

I still have quite a bit of practice to go with these. Overall they were pretty easy to put in. I did have a struggle putting the left side of my hair into it though. I don't think it gave me too much volume, but I am going to try it again with my hair freshly washed too. I will say I love the clasps to keep them closed, rather than just relying on the bendability. These are not for side sleepers though, which I tend to be most of the time. They still stayed in place but we're hard to sleep in if you do the space bun look.

I went through TSA with these in my hair and they didn't set off the metal detector and they held their shape through sleeping on a plane and in bed.I have long, thin hair and was able to section my hair for all of it to fit.Unfortunately I think I needed to use mousse because my hair didn't hold any curl after taking these out.

I ordered these to replace some others we have. Those were a bit longer and certainly worked better than these shorter ones. These ones may be better for thin or short hair.
