A must for those who live a read a day. Highly recommend this edition.
I've been a Marcus Aurelius "fan" since the age of fourteen and continued to be so to the present day.One of his medications per day is very relaxing and makes a difference how we view ourselves, others, circumstances that are beyond us etc. This edition is lovely and would make an ideal present. I cannot recommend it enough. The only let down : the pages are thin and transparent. Be patient !

I just love this book.
I read this book everyday, i just love it. It has lots of the lessons he (Marcus) has learned of his family members, mentors and teachers, it's just filled with really uplifting wise messages, life lessons and things to think about. Highly recommended.

Awesome artistic version.
There are so many versions of Meditations. Reviews of which version to get is hard sometimes because the photos were not matching the book I was looking to order. I do own another version that is annotated which I do like to help expand on some of the thoughts but THIS version is what I was looking for. Simple. A bit more artistic. Hardcover. Each page is spread out and the thoughts are spaced out. This is a type of book that one can enjoy in bite sized snippets to ponder and this book showcases that. The pages are thin but it makes it feel artistic. I love the fact this was written nearly 2000 years ago. If you are looking for an artistic version, you too will be happy with this version like I am for a reasonable price.

Embrace the strange translation and make it mean more to you .
This is my second copy of this exact book (there are others, written slightly differently. ) this is a book worth having. The translation may seem shallow or unintentional or lazy or any of the other words the reviewers left.I found it more thought provoking . It's easier to remember my quote over citing someone else's quote, while being precise. When I had to stop and think about the quotes I was able retain a bit more. Thinking about what word needs to be there. Give it a shot. I think you'd enjoy it more diving into it with the mindset of " I get to fill in the blanks" .

Horrendous paper quality
Absolutely horrendous quality of pages, the appealing book cover and pages style is just a facade of a book poorly printed. I recommend people to get other editions instead.

Long Term Compass
"The things you think about determine the quality of your mind. Your soul takes on the colour of your thoughts."You might have read/heard something like this somewhere but we never really pay attention to it and we continue to do what we always do."Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius is not a unique book, all the things written inside it are taken from daily life examples and the problems one faces in their entire lifetime. After reading this book all you will realize that everything is around you yet you never pay attention towards it. In fact, this book is a collection of all the personal notes of the author to himself. He created a philosophy which explores through some insights of real world which are inspiring but not unique. This book can help a person as a morale compass for long term and as a source of short term motivation when needed. Most importantly, "Meditations" is all about bringing in some practices in our daily life routine to help achieve what we desire most. It doesn't ask for much but few moments of solitude.I can mention some Values defined in this book which can help one to live by:-Humble, Simple, Accepting, Energetic, Persistent, Pragmatic, Having integrity, purposeful, Being an observer, Seizing the present, Forgiving, Rational etc.Lastly, one method which can help you to simplify your life is by practicing one thing everyday in your life is meditation on paper: One should take at least 15 minutes of time to write on a piece of paper about all the problems he/she is facing, all the challenges or write whatever comes to your mind. The only thing is you cannot stop until the time runs out. When you write with your hand there's something behind it.I hope this review helps you to learn something about your life."It never ceases to amaze me: we all love ourselves more than other people, but care more about their opinion than our own.”

What’s not to love
It’s the George Long translation of “Meditations”, and therefore is printed using King James English. The paper is thin, but doesn’t affect reading and it looks amazing on the book shelf. Being hardcover, is a bargain, and means I don’t have to take some of my other copies out with me, they call an stay safe at home.
