Ordered a trauma ifak last week and it didn't have any insignia attached to identity it as a 1st aid kit. This will fix that. It's well stitched and has velcro backing. Perfect.

Imagine you really, really need to get to your medkit, which is in one of the external pouches on your pack. You drop the pack but you're shaken and amped up and you waste precious seconds looking in the wrong pouch. Or, worse, you're incapacitated and someone else is trying to find your medkit.The solution: ensure the top of the relevant pouch has this little patch on it. In an emergency you want everything to be as obvious and simple as possible, and this patch makes it so. I've had one on the relevant side-pouch of my bergen for years, and now I hand these out to other people to make sure they get the same benefit. When seconds lost can mean the difference between a bad day out and not going home at all, these patches are worth hundreds of times what they cost.

It's what it is. Slightly on the small side. Colours may be a bit duller than I imagined. Backing strip a bit thinner than some. But otherwise well made and functional.

This patch was to attach to my Limitless Equipment Alpha First Aid Kit (GEN 2). That kit comes with a velcro style Loop-lined panel but the patches it came with are superfluous which is why I bought this. This patch tells people looking at it that it's a first aid kit which you need in an emergency. It fits the MOLLE style look and the stitching is solid.

This is an absolutely brilliant medic patch. I have it on my jacket and it makes me easily identified in the field.
