soft and manageable hair, light pleasant fragrance
This is a good conditioner. It made my hair feel so soft and manageable, in addition to giving it the moisture my hair craved. I am in between my coloring appointment right now, a little behind 2 weeks to be honest, so I really need to do what I can at home to make my hair look decent. I do feel like it helped tone my hair and made it look a bit better. I left it on for a few minutes and I really felt that it made my hair feel so soft and nice. There is a very light scent to this, a pleasant and enjoyable smell, and after use it did leave my hair with a nice smell. Although there are two brands of purple shampoo and conditioner I switch back and forth with, when I saw this I wanted to give it a try especially when they mention "hair cycling". It is so important to change it up so your hair is not used to one product, which seems to be less effective after long term use. This is a good blonde conditioner and I would've gotten the shampoo too but I have way too many purple shampoos I'm trying to finish up. I do recommend giving this conditioner a chance.

Another purple shampoo
I have 95% grey hair, but is actually pure white. It tends to get brassy with just being in the world, so I use purple shampoo when I wash my hair. There was a time when it was more of a specialty item and I could only get it at the salon or beauty supply store. In the past 15-20 years, purple shampoo has become more common and almost every major brand has one. Iāve tried too many to count. I have favorites, but still try new ones as the come out. I was excited to try Freestyleās Blonde Preserve shampoo. Firstly, it arrived shrink wrapped and thank goodness because it had leaked in transit. Getting the plastic off without making a mess was a chore. The first thing I noticed pouring it into my hand, is how thin it is! Iām used to purple shampoo being more of a thick gel. I like to apply a coat and let it sit for a few minutes while it tones. This was so watery, it was the consistency of shampoo with water added to get every last drop. At around twenty dollars for 8.5oz, this is hardly acceptable. Consistency aside, the shampoo was adequate. It has a citrusy scent (which comes as a surprise) and left my hair squeaky clean. I am concerned that is too cleansing like it might be drying. I didnāt use conditioner to see how the texture of my hair would be with the shampoo alone. Itās very soft, but dried frizzier than usual. Just know itās not a moisturizing or conditioning shampoo. The most important part: it got the yellowing out! My hair was sparkly platinum when all was said and done. I will probably cycle this in with my other product and only use it occasionally.

Nice amount of pigment
I really like this purple conditioner. I'm used to purple conditioners and shampoos being loaded with synthetic fragrance, and this one is not, which is really nice. It is quite pigmented but didn't stain my hair or shower purple. I didn't leave it on for too long, maybe a few minutes, but it did make my grays look noticeably less yellow with the short amount of time it took to rinse out. It left my hair soft and manageable as well.

Tones down the yellow
I have dark blonde hair with highlights that tends to get yellow-toned in between my hair appointments, so I use a purple conditioner to bring it back to a cooler tone. This conditioner works just as well as the other brand I'd been using. I don't think it's scented, but it has an interesting scent that might be from the grapefruit or ginger oil ingredients. The scent doesn't stick around on my hair, and this hasn't irritated my sensitive scalp. No complaints here!
