I am actually really happy with the size of this! I believed that it was going to be way bigger than it actually was, but after having it for a day or two, I am not too mad at it. It is a bit small, but it was really easy to understand how to assemble it, of course it was hard to actually put it together, but it made it super sturdy. The lid lifts up really nicely, and the wood is really smooth so no splinters !! It looks really nice in his cage so this is a really nice purchase! Again, it is a bit on the smaller side, so it may not be suitable for bigger hamsters, like teddy bears, but my Syrian hamster is able to get through the chambers just fine, but he definitely makes it look way smaller when he is inside.

This was great for my Robo hamster!! She loves it so much and with the video instructions, it was super easy to assemble! Not the best picture i have as my hammy was moving but the size comparison is great for robos! Not so sure about Syrians though, just be aware of your breed ❤️

If I could put zero stars I would. Be careful with this product, my hamster, Viola, got in between the top and the inside hide circles and she died before I could get her out. Do not recommend this product.

My rescued wild mouse has been using this item as a place to bear and raise a litter of babies, and it's been perfect for the job. It's sturdy, easy to clean, doesn't retain odors, it's a nice size, the four separate rooms allow the occupant to organize their home as they see fit, and the mouse seems to be comfortable and happy with it. (She has other options in her enclosure, but has chosen to stay rather than move her little ones elsewhere, which mice will readily do.)I would give this item 5 stars if the lid opened further than it does (about 45 degrees). The all-wood construction makes for a bulky hinge with a limited range of motion.Note that this unit is good fit for a mouse or dwarf hamster, but nothing larger unless you leave out one of the interior dividers, making a two-room house instead of four.
