This is perfect for small projects. Very nice quality.

Too small for most uses
I thought this would be a good hammer to get for more delicate projects around the house. Unfortunately it is just too light for most uses. It could be better if the handle was longer but the head is very light. I do like the removable nylon and rubber head ends but again it's difficult to use.

A Handy Miniature Mallet for Specific Tasks
I have to admit, I made a mistake when I ordered this mallet. I didn't realize it was a small, specialized tool meant for jewelry making. I was expecting a full-size mallet and was quite surprised to find a miniature version when it arrived. However, this was entirely my fault for not reading the product description more carefully or checking the measurements that were clearly stated. Even though I’m not a jewelry maker, I can see how this tiny mallet could be useful for those who work on detailed and delicate tasks. The mallet itself is well-made and seems designed for its purpose. It features a double-sided head with a soft rubber side and a hard nylon side, giving it some versatility depending on the task. The materials seem durable, with the rubber head providing a softer touch, and the nylon head adding more firmness when needed. The wooden handle feels solid and is shaped for a comfortable grip, which helps absorb shock and provides good control while working. While I don't have much use for this mallet in my current projects, I can appreciate its craftsmanship. It’s certainly not a toy (as the description notes), and I imagine it could be quite effective for those who need a small tool for jewelry making, leatherwork, or other similar crafts. For anyone who knows what they’re looking for and needs a small, precise mallet, this might be a great fit. Just make sure to check the size if you’re expecting something larger!

Poor QC
No matter what I do, one of the mallet tips seems to end up crooked. Not sure if one of the receiving holes is drilled crooked, or both mallet tips are slightly off.Result is a slightly crooked mallet, not what I want for "precision" thwacking.

I AM A DWARF AND I'M... hammering... a... nevermind.
I was not prepared for how TINY this thing is! I'm really glad that someone is finally catering to the jewelry mallet needs of the Gnomes.Jokes aside, it feels pretty stock basic, and it MIGHT serve well, but it's so ridiculously small that I'm not entirely sure how much use it will bring.

Very Much a Small Mallett
If you want this for intricate work, delicate work, gentle tapping with small tools - well, then you're golden. For goodness sake don't be misled by the hilariously inept photoshopped product images in the item listing. You're not getting a sledgehammer. It's most definitely a tiny mallett, with removable nylon and rubber heads. Very light in the hand, well balanced, and small enough for precision work. Comfortable to hold, and after giving it a try removing small trim pieces from furniture it feels like it will be durable for the work its intended to do.

exactly what I needed
Small and nice mallet for helping me with assembling scale mode car wheels and axels! Perfect size and it is small enough to ensure I am not tapping the rims on the wheels too hard! Love it and a great tool for the bench!!!

6 inches long
It works but be aware that it is only 6 inches long. It is fit only for the lightest of jobs.
