Brought this to keep air movement in my potty shed during the winter. I also wish like to use 2 of these fans to vent my conservatory in the summer. I linked the fan set to a mains USB charger for a few hours, the fan worked very well on mains power. When using the solar panel for the first time I located it behind the double glazing in my lounge, in fairly bright sun the fan operated well. Under a dull sky the fan did not rotate but you could tell that the fan wanted to start but insufficient power was being generated. What I do not know is, if left in the 'on' situation and not enoough sun, would the fan automatically start. The solar panel needs to be adapted for external mounting. I am pleased with everything so far.It is now December 2020 and the solar panel has been exposed continuously to the sun since purchasing. The panel has become partially opaque and it efficiency has dropped so the fan does not perform so well in partial sun light which was not the case when first purchased. I have downgrade the star rating to 3.April 2021, issue of solar panel degradation continues. I am considering purchasing another system because when it works a full power it is good. I shall be considering a system using a higher quality solar panel.

I bought this fan to use in my greenhouse, hoping it would provide some air circulation when it isn’t warm enough for the automatic vents to open.The fan I was sent is much smaller than advertised - barely 15cm (6”) rather than 20cm (8”) shown.The small size and virtually flat blades means it only produces the gentlest of air movement.The solar panel only works in FULL sunshine, even thin haze stops it running.The short 90cm (3’) cable makes it difficult to position the solar panel high enough to maximise sunshine.The build quality seems acceptable, but the fan cage and stand are painted metal, with steel screws and I feel sure it would rust if left in the greenhouse too long.Packaging was spartan, with no instructions, amazed it got to me in one piece!Having taken some time reading other Amazon reviews of this product I am very disappointed by this product. Perhaps specifications have changed or I have been sent the wrong model by mistake, but I would not recommend this fan to anyone.About to return it for a refund.

The fan works when plugged into other things but no matter how long we left the solar panel charging, it has never worked. We just haven't had time this summer to repackage, queue up and return the item so have sadly lost out. A real shame as it was just what we needed for our campervan.

This is a great size fan for my greenhouse.Super simple to install.Works superbly. Even on cloudy days the fan works a treat. Highly recommend.Highly highly recommend.

I've bought 2 of these and use them to keep a breeze running through for my ferrets (1 fan per ferret) and I love them. Bought 1 to test, it was perfect, bought a second and it was just as good.

I fitted this in the greenhouse with the solar panel against the underside of the glass. It works very well even on an overcast day.Lifespan I cannot comment on, in my experience energy saving solar gadgets last a year or so then you end up buying another sooo green!I will update this review if it fails, but for now it looks well made so fingers crossed! UPDATE YES IT LASTED LESS THAN A YEAR, BLINKING SOLAR PANEL HAS FAIILED. SO MUCH FOR DAVING THE PLANET!

When in full sun it works well. But doesn't hold any charge so only works when sun is fully on it. No fan in bright light but shady.

Entgegen anderer Bewerter kann ich bestätigen, dass der Propeller auch bei geringer Sonneneinstrahlung, bzw. auch bei leichter Bewölkung seine Arbeit aufnimmt.Etwas verwirrend ist der Schalter an der Rückseite, welcher I und II ausweist, tatsächlich gibt es jedoch keinerlei Unterschied in Geschwindigkeit oder Laufrichtung........

Lo tengo colocado en el invernadero funcionando de continuo y estoy contento con el, solo funciona por el día cuanto más sol directo le pegue más potencia tiene el ventilador, se compone de un panel solar con un cable usb directo al ventilador.

3 estrellas porque si le da el sol directamente, funciona, pero como no le dé directamente se apaga. También es curioso que en la marcha 1 gire mas rapido que en la 2.
