Briskind Bread Machine
Very happy w/this bread machine! Bought as backup for 20+ yr old Breadman still going strong. Today’s machines have updated programs tho I usually make basic white or dough for pizza, dinner rolls, coffee cakes, or cinnamon rolls. 1 lb loaf lasts 3-4 days, slices fit toaster and are sandwich-sized.Features I like: horizontal, ceramic pan; simple, intuitive, glass control panel (like iPad); easy-to-read backlit LED display; small footprint, but heavy enough to stay on counter; keeps working when lid is lifted—useful to monitor mixing/adjust dough consistency early in pgm; heavy 3-prong cord; ss construction. Lacks auto-add, but beeps and display flashes for add. (Never used my B’man auto-add, prefer to add by hand—not useful for anything seedy, sticky, or melty.) Pan is tricky to insert (practice w/empty pan—avoid hitting coil) and must be turned clockwise to lock in place (my B’man pan snaps in), the interior diagrams help. Easy way to remember: CLOCKwise LOCKS!Just before final rise/bake, I remove pan, turn dough out, remove paddle (avoids big hole in baked loaf), shape dough, replace it in pan, and set pan back in machine to bake. I DO NOT lock pan for bake—it is unnecessary and hot pan easily lifts out after bake ends. Tasty loaf, perfectly risen/evenly baked, w/nice crumb and crust color.Company responded immediately to my request for chart w/times when paddle can be removed before final rise/bake. I buy yeast by the pound, use 10 lbs of flour/mo (unbleached, all-purpose works fine), and first made bread by hand 40+ yrs ago. Bread machine is a wonderful convenience, but experience and knowledge about yeast-bread baking help to ensure success. Flours and hydration vary, as do egg sizes. Ambient temp/humidity (altitude, too) affect bake.Measure accurately (I do not use a scale), follow recipe instructions. Hold back 1/4 to 1/2 cup of flour to add gradually during first 5-10 minutes of mixing to gauge hydration. Observe if dough circle forms under paddle and dough sticks to sides of pan. Adjust by adding flour a tablespoon at a time for a soft dough that is not wet/does not stick to your finger or sides of pan. Adjusting w/flour is easier, but can also adjust w/liquid if dough is too stiff/dry. After you know how your flour and recipe perform, you can try delayed bake, but it could be reason for reported failures/disappointing bakes. Bread making is not exactly dump and go despite YouTube demos and marketing claims!Do read Briskind’s Instruction (esp caring for pan) and Recipe Booklets before first bake. They are informative and clear, tho some measurements are quirky. (Red Star Yeast and King Arthur Baking websites both have good machine recipes and tips.) Start small—some 2 lb recipes might exceed pan capacity after rise/oven spring. My first loaf (1.5 lb) rose so high slices did not fit toaster. Whole wheat recipes may bake denser and smaller. And, avoid accidentally touching the control panel after starting pgm—I inadvertently cancelled or paused pgm on my first bake by wiping some flour off control panel. I finished by manually setting knead, rise, bake pgms which this really smart machine has!Highly recommend it—an excellent machine, many features, at a very competitive price! Two-yr warranty is longer than Zo I first considered, but thought too big for my kitchen and not best for smaller loaves. If you love bread, you will love this machine! And Amazon quickly delivered very carefully packaged machine in perfect condition.

Makes Good Bread
Easy to use. Makes a short loaf. Recipe book included, but I preferred to use my own. You can make quite a variety of breads with this reasonably priced machine. Easy instructions.

Great bread maker
I have twenty years of experience using various bread makers, and I’m very pleased with my new Briskind. It bakes all types of bread beautifully. The machine works quietly, has a convenient display and all the necessary modes. I like the ability to turn off beeps and create bread according to your own recipe in the mode custom. In the photo, you can see a small loaf of rye bread.

Love It
I like this bread machine for its ease of use and clear instructions. The delay option is great for early morning warm bread. The pan is easily removed and installed. While there are many recipes, they are not all that exciting and I hope to use other specialty recipes that the machine will accommodate. The one regret I have is that it does not have the auto-add fruit and nut option which I thought was unnecessary, but now wish I had it. Overall it's a great machine for the price.

Ease
Read booked good before starting to build bread. The issues I had were from mistakes I made, not the machine. It just did what I program. Had indgreents for 1 1/2 lb loaf, but didn't check to see that was was set. It was not, it was sat on 1 lb loaf. The bread was eatable, but not as good as it would have been, had i did my part!

Great budget breadmaker, quite possibly the best value.
I cooked a bread a day over the break. I love the ceramic coat, not Teflon, which is why I bought it. Still, use plastic/silicone spoons/knives not metal, since it can still chip. Thankfully it comes with a back mixer attachment. It's best if you can get fresh ground grain from friends, if you're looking for nutrition you can't find in $3 or $10 loaves. AI is very helpful for modifying recipes for special diets, low-carb. If you want to ensure best results, though, you'll need to *exactly* follow the recipe, ideally using a scale (not included), but you can use measuring cups if you exactly follow the directions about not shaking the measuring cup, etc.
