Safe
The fact that the bait is in the center and not accessible from the outside is a good feature. Curious pets can get in trouble. The key feature is also nice. They just have not caught any mice. Imhcar caught six mice in sticky traps and not one in these straps. Will keep them out and update if that changes.

Not for me
I found these very difficult to use and especially to keep track of a key to open it! I'm going back to sticky pads.

Good
Small size, will only work for mice but they lock up well and hold the bait block with no problem.

Solid mouse bait box but pretty small
These mouse bait boxes are nice and sturdy and come with the key that helps protect your animals or children from opening and getting access to the bait that could hurt them. I was able to use normal bait as shown, but break into smaller piece so it would fit. I know mice can squeeze into small spaces so hopefully these have enough weight that the whole box will not move when the mouse tries to access the bait.

tiny
The boxes overall are smart idea. I love the idea behind the box in the fact that you need a key to open it in order to set the bait and or let the mouse out. This is not ideal for someone who lives in an area where they have bigger mice around the whole of it is very small. It's more made for like maybe a small mouse like a newborn mouse pose. It is for bigger mice we're gonna give it a shot since we live in an area where you know people have pets and they tend to get out of them and let them run loose in the community debate is that we are choosing to use peanut butter. We're not aiming to harm any rodents. Just redirect them to a different home.

Just like what my exterminator uses
I got these after my building changed pest control companies and I wasn't happy with what they were doing so now i put these down with the tomcat blocks from home depot in them. You can shake and try to open all you want but they really are tamper proof without the key or screwdriver to pry it open.

Small bait stations
I needed something to trap voles that was squirrel-proof. Unfortunately these aren't traps, they are bait stations. I mistakenly thought they were traps because of the viewing window. Still, I loaded them up with peanut butter coated vole bait that is wildlife safe. I guess it's a wait and see situation in whether the voles can actually squeeze into this station to get to the bait. Otherwise I will just be attracting insects. I will have no way of knowing if it is effective for the voles. But at least the squirrels won't be able to get in without the special tool. Neither will the average Joe, even with the tool. Hint, leverage the tool backward once inserted and then lift.
