God's Gift to Fish Folk
This is miracle stuff!I've used it for years and have completely stopped 'searching' for anything else and even moreso - have stopped 'TRYING' anything else. This stuff cleans, clears, de-yellows, de-greens, and even helps alleviate certain disease issues before (and even after) they've started. I've found this much less stressful on the fish when dealing with a 'dirty or diseased or medicated' fish tank. Changing the water (especially after meds) can sometimes create such a harmful blow on the fish... whereas this is so much more gentle on the fish; thus allowing a water change after-the-fact without the incredible stress or damage to delicate fish. Even if you're in need of adding meds, I've found this a fabulous 'pre-intervention' -- why, because many times this need only occurs due to lack of proper maintenance of the tank. By alleviating the 'nasties' before a small water change + adding meds; I personally have found this a lifesaver when it comes to those fish in 'not-to-happy' condition. I've seen many die, but I've seen less die when using this in combination of meds and H2O changes. Obviously, you're call.... but if you're looking for a helpful moment in time --this be it!!!Additionally, should one have issues with water quality, even after changing the water -- this will absolutely fix it!!! I still recommend however to start with this first (you'd be amazed at what clarity can occur while at work for even only 8 hours). If you have never used this stuff, I promise you, this WILL produce miracles beyond any fishkeepers expectations.Your fish will thank you!!! You will thank you!!This stuff is the 'bee's knees',it's the 'holy grail',it be the ying to any fish's yang!!You will never be sorry you purchased it,It's worth every penny!... that is, as long as the deals here don't suddenly change. If so, as always, we the people shall figure out what it's made out of and then just wholesale penny it from an alt manufacturer.AND, this IS a DEAL! [...] has always strived to be one of the best priced places online... and here, they found their niche even moreso! I buy from them regularly, and shall continue. They 'quick ship', they honor their prices, and are happy to fix any faux pas.You just can't go wrong with:1) this gift from 'the gods', and2) buying anything from [...]I swear by this product and have yet to find anything else in 9 years of fishkeeping that even comes close to the miracle of this product..... yes Virginia - there is a Santa Fish somewhere out there and his name is PolyFilter!!!

Great for overstocked tanks
Yes, this product is expensive, but it is wonderful. I've got a micro tank at work that I keep 8 cardinal tetras in which is by most standards WAY too many fish (in case you are wondering, cardinals are easily spooked fish and need many friends to feel safe and comfortable). These pads literally absorb all of the ammonia and keep the levels at 0ppm. One of the great features of these pads are that they change different colors depending on what chemicals they are absorbing which makes it easy to know when the filter is spent. I had been using carbon filters prior to discovering this and they don't even cut the mustard in comparison. One side note: these are meant for tanks, not ponds. While these filter can be used for mechanical filtration, they are designed more as chemical filtration. If you want to use it in your pond, you need to have many progressive stages of mechanical filtration (loose media to capture scum and plant material and then finer and finer pads afterwards to capture the rest) with the chemical and biological filtration last. With the right tank filtration setup, you COULD use these pads as a primary filter, but these are fine enough that you would have to take it out weekly or so and rinse it out.

Great Filter!!!
These things are awesome. Period. I started replacing one of my floss filters with this medium per one of the girls at my local pet store, trying to remove tannins from my driftwood. This does so much more, and is super efficient. For tank critters with super clean water requirements, these are a must. Only wish they weren't so expensive.

Why buy anything else
Hi , have been using them for decades. They are far superior to carbon, somewhat pricey but affordable. Polyfilter “Adsorbs” organics, medications, a variety of different unwanted material. It binds and doesn’t let go unlike carbon, when full, it leaches organics back into your aquarium water. Why buy anything else. Enjoy. Please stay safe and healthy

Great product for fresh or salt water systems
Been using PBM pads for 30 yrs now. They never disappoint.Love they are semi rechargeable, a rinse and a bath as described on packaging & a follow up rinse and the life is extended another month or more.I find I go thru them about every 4-6 months.Using then currently in home made pond trickle filter as the 3rd layer (under batting sheet & matala) above the sump bio layer.Basically bought 3, filter fits 1.5 full sheets, so alternate as 2 sets allow me to clean/recharge a set & replace with other set.

Seriously Overpriced.
I was skeptical. At $38 this is insanely expensive compared to the Fluval 3 pack for $5. But if it made a significant difference then it was money well spent. Only it didn't. It did turn green taking out algae as the company said it would so no complaint there. However it didn't last any longer than the Fluval pad and the water seemed no different. I'm back to the Fluval.

Great product!
Have been using this for about two months now. Before using I had many snails, and a few SPS and LPS dying on my 200g reef system. I believe it was caused by a copper contamination, from brass solenoids that I was using for my ATO system. Now I have several LPS and snails in the tank for about two weeks and no lost. I guess it is working.
